Once you download it erase all files in rubies folder except for wallet.dat ( make a backup of thie file and store it safely) and run the wallet.

In your RBIES wallet click on "statistics" first information displayed is block height;  

then browse to block explorer page http://blockexplorer.betterbets.io:8080/ : at bottom right corner you may see block number rubies blockchain is at.

If the two numbers match ...well don't know what's your problem and you better get in touch with Rubies wallet developer and blockchain specialist mammix2  ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=227772 )

If the two numbers don't match you are probably on a fork and you should follow instructions I provided some posts ago to another user ( quoted below)

my wallet shows 28,000 and its staking. when you go to the explorer , it shows the staked rbies but has the correct amount of rbies 87k
