Hi,

I bought bitcoins in coinbase and sent them to an armory wallet.  Bitcoin Core has fully synced, and yet my bitcoins do not show up in armory.  All I want to do is turn the bitcoin into cash.  Is there an easy way to do with just based off of having the address it was sent to?

Thanks.

There's an Armory subforum for these kinds of questions.

What version of Armory are you using? Is Armory fully set up and done with its database? What do you see on the bottom right on Armory?

If you have urgency in moving the funds you can export the private key and import it elsewhere that's already synced and fully set up.

Yes, you can. Import the private key and spend the funds.

Thanks.  Would the walletpassphrase it refers to be the root key? or a password I made when i set up Armory?

Bitcoin Core doesn't have anything to do with whatever you've set up on Armory. The walletpassphrase command is to unlock your Core wallet, if you've put a password on it, in order to import your key. You can skip that if you didn't lock your Core wallet with a password.

When I used "importprivkey" and typed the address it says "Invalid private key encoding (code -5)"

I used "importaddress" and the bitcoins showed up in the Watch-Only balances instead of spendable.

You need to get the private keys out of armory. Go to your wallet properties, click "Backup" and then choose the option for "Export key lists". The private keys are the ones labeled "privbase58" (or something like that).

What you are currently doing is importing the addresses, not the private keys.

Assuming that your Armory is running normally and synced up with Bitcoin Core:

For each wallet in Armory, go to "Wallet Properties/Belongs to:" and check "This wallet is mine" then click OK. Otherwise, available wallet funds will not be included in the total balance displayed on the main screen.
