After successfully predicting BTC moves in 2016 here on the forum, I have a new set of 2017 predictions that I'm using to trade the current move.

1. Rise to $1,200-$1,300 (Current move)
2. Correction to $800-$900 level and range trading for a while
3. Rise to $1,500
4. Correction to $900-$1,000 and range trading for a while
5. Continued rise to $2,000 by end of year

tldr; BTC will double this year after making a couple of moves up and down.

That is similar to my predictions that I just made a few days ago. But recently I read a news that Chinese people are buying more bitcoins and it has reached the highest peak compared to before. With this movement probably by the end of January bitcoin will reach Two Thousand Dollars each and by the end of the year a 10k dollar price will shock  the market by the end of the year.

Wow, I haven't been introduced to bitcoin during the beginning of 2016 and I wasn't able to see all the predictions made but I certainly take not of this good sir. Hopefully your predictions stay true again this time and I think it would be better for me to just keep on earning and holding on to my bitcoins for the time when it goes to 2k at years end. yes, that is lovely prediction and I also expect this chart like your prediction.
I did not expect the price was rising so fastly like this. it has broken our expectation.

If it corrects and goes down to $800-$900   twice, it wont reach $2000 at the end of the year.  Probably it will only reach around $1500.  According to your analysis, .  I think it is too steep to reach $2000 after dropping to $1000 (2nd correction) assuming that happen in mid year. So I guess it will be around $1500 - $1600 at the end of 2017.

Too hard to believe that bitcoin could reach $10k this year. I agree on bitcoin that it could hit 2000$ by the end of the year but that $10k seems impossible. Bitcoin will need 100 years to go on that price.

Seems like a level headed prediction, but you would probably have said that we would see a correction down to 600-700 after we crossed 1000 just hours ago, but that didn't happen. Similarly, we may blast through the last all time high range ($1,200-$1,300) and don't see any major corrections. Maybe a quick dip to 1100 but that's about, the traction may be too solid for it to stay in a 800-900 range, we may have continued rise after ATH... that is why im not shorting a single satoshi. I was about to short at 1k and that would have been a mistake, don't want to risk your moon tickets.

I will consider this one a better speculation, price seems to easily get doubled by end of this year. This price surge may stop after reaching $1200 or may be even to $1500 level and get correction back to $1100-$1200 range. I don't think we will again go below $1000 within next few months.

are you serious about this? If this really happens what will happen next? crisis will be money? or will be deflation and inflation in countries that use bitcoin

Cant wait for your predictiions to happened.  But frankly speaking that bitcoin will have hard time in reaching the 2000$ this year. Maybe if another halving will happened 2000$ price could be next.

We seem to be on the same wavelength except the second correction. All of us know that main driver for rally nowadays is China and when this ends a major correction will be done. But which is the reason for second correction and why the price will go dip. I like the last step but if correction in step 4 comes true I will support the opinion of lionheart78 that end of 2017 will be no more of $1600-1700

There are a lot of prediction that bitcoin is going to hit another peak in the end of january, i heard china is going to celebrate their chinese new year, so hopefully there will be a lot of transaction using bitcoin, that is the reason some people said, bitcoin is going to be quite high, and by the end of the year i believe bitcoin can reach 2000$, seeing from the growth of the user and growth of the investor, there is a great possibility that bitcoin that grow that high

About the price I am more close to 5th variant. There is nothing now that can make the price for bitcoin loose couple hundred dollars in the price. It can make only some big hacking, but protection off sites became much stronger than before. And if it even happen I doubt that the price will ever fall to 400-500$ again.

The last year has just been insane and everything that I thought I was going to be able to predict (namely, no $1k) turned out to be wrong. With everything else happening, and considering the position of the market right now, it's far from unlikely that we can see fluctuations like this. I just want to see it happen.

ok, good prediction but it is too general and you are a bit off from your marks in my opinion because you are missing the point of correction or "Retracement" as you call it in your other topic. when it happens price doesn't go down to the previews price (step 3 in your last topic and 2+4 here) but instead it goes down to a higher and newer bottom.

($600 last time -ignore the one time $570 because of bfx hack) and this time it won't be $800-$900 if it goes as high as $1300+

I think that option 2 is the most realistic in a short period of time.

Correction to $800 after some big exchange platform gets hacked or something similar.

All the options at that order are actually the best prediction about bitcoin.

this is a strong pump, peak can really be 2k, with some price correction in between like at 900 we had one with a retreat to 875

if we can reach 2k it will not fall back again at 700, 1k look solid to me it can easily be the new bottom

you need also to know who is "playing the market" right now, if big players are in it can increase to unbelievable level
