...on eBay, of all places!  But, I would much enjoy a payment in Bitcoin.  Heck, maybe I'll even give a discount equal to Paypal's fees if the winner pays in Bitcoins.  Cheesy

Molecular is auctioning one off on the forum here... it's reached 4 BTC so far (which, I guess at current BTC valuation is only $200?).  That one was minted in October.

Don't be too inspired by the previous eBay auction for one, it was bid up by and won by a 0 feedback buyer. You'd get stuck not being able to resell it for a week or two while filing non-paying bidder disputes when you have a deadbeat eBay buyer.

Indeed, I noticed that as well..!  We'll see how much it ends up going for.  As far as I am aware, this is the first time that a first-day minted coin has been posted on eBay, and people seem keen on the mint dates.  Smiley

Also, I've made note on the auction that I will give a 3% discount to anyone who pays in Bitcoin.  Cheers!

The current bidder is 1 feedback with 0% positive. Items bid on - 26. They are bidding on 20 other items in coins and money. Note that sellers cannot leave a negative feedback on crap buyers, they can only leave a positive because eBay is so f**ked.

They dumped a bid on Apr-13-13 00:24:26 that is still the top bid, don't expect this to turn out well if that guy wins. I would cancel this kind of bidder immediately, but you've let it go on too long that it may have discouraged other bidders.

Wish you gd luck! I bought one from ebay at US$640,  it wasn't a smooth deal as the shipping was delayed for almost 2 weeks. ( My ebay has 100% positive and 150+ positive )  I was too newbie to check this forum before I made that buy .

Damn... I just did, and it dropped the price down to $709, but probably worth it.  I didn't realize I could check how many items he had bid on, but I was certainly suspicious of his low feedback score.  Thank you very much for the heads up on that!

StarenseN - I replied to your PM.  Good luck!

Yes I am aware of the typo on the holograms.  Didn't see it until it was too late.  Another batch of holograms is in production with this fixed (and other improvements).
Waaaat? You mean all coins purchased before now are the "rare 2011 casascius with typo" and sell for a much higher price at some point in the future? Nice! Wink

I was hoping for more initially (because of how much previous coins had sold for), but with the recent BTC price drop, I am happy with where it ended up!

Will be shipping it out this evening...

I never realized what you guys were talking about with these series 1 coins with the misprint. I could never see it.  I show my wife a coin I had purchased back in 2011 and the first thing she says is "the little name is spelt wrong". I am like........huh........what?  Now I finally see it, and its nice to know I have a collectors coin. True story.  Grin

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote
