I want the feedback on this forum what the people are looking the most about bitcoin. The point I want to write a free guide in order to build my mailing list for my bitcoin blog.

What do you think newcomers, intermediate or a pro like to read about bitcoin in a guide of 10 pages or more?

for noobs:
explaining bitcoin without buzzwords like
"decentralized cryptographic keypair secured peer to peer financial ledger"

and instead something like
payment system where your private key, which only you hold is your account

when explaining how:
instead of mentioning SHA, ecdsa, ripemd160, blockchains, PoW, port 8333, etc, etc, etc
explain it like you would explain writing a cheque.

putting in who the funds are going to and the amount. and where the payment already includes details of where the funds are coming from.
your private key is used to mix up the payment data to form a unique signature so that no one needs your private key. and the signature can can be verified by the data of where the funds came from. when its signed its as good as accepted though most merchants prefer to wait for the payment to clear first.
the payment then passes through thousands of random people that doublecheck it. and eventually a pool that batches the payments together into a block of data which is then finalised and locked into a long chain of blocks of payments which anyone can view, store and verify any/every payment/block

go about as deep as that. dont get too technical and dont try showing off use of buzzwords to sound smart.

after all do most people really know how cheque clearing houses work. or what visa does behind the scenes to communicate to banks. and if you started throwing out banking acronyms like RTGS or NEFT, CHAPS, ACH they wont be any the wiser in regards to how cheques/visa/wire transfers work.

I think you are already earning your bitcoin because of your signature campaign? and I think you can research on your own, but if you would want the suggestions and the way other people think in these forum, In my situation Bitcoin really lead my life not in a prosperous way but is an eye opener for me that there is something else that I can do even if I am sitting on front of my PC and can earn some bitcoin!

do not advertise signature campaigns as a way of earning bitcoin for free
do not advertise faucet raiding as a way of earning bitcoin for free

to earn bitcoins talk about GETTING A JOB
to earn bitcoins talk about STARTING A BUSINESS
to earn bitcoins talk about BUYING BITCOINS from fiat earnings

only mentions signature campaigns/faucet raiding as a means to gather a few small insignificant amounts to learn how to use bitcoin.

it has become a shame that many people dont see bitcoin as anything more then this forum.
it has become a shame that many people dont see bitcoin as anything more then getting free micro penny amounts for hours of labour
it has become a shame that many people dont see bitcoin as for what it truly is and can be in the real world

Signature campaigns put a lot of bitcoins in people's hands and have done this for years. Just imagine what will happen, if this forum decided

not to host these campaigns. We would have had almost no traffic and activity and bitcoin adoption would have been a lot lower. How much of

these bitcoins are going towards Bitcoin based services? {gambling sites} ... Yes, we would have had a lot less spam, but this is manageable.

Some forum members are actively working to rid this forum from Sig spammers, and this is a good thing, but we should also consider that

not all of these members are spamming and some actually contribute constructively with good quality posts. A lot of good can also be

received from signature campaigns that are being managed properly.  Wink

Edit : Sorry OP, was not my intention to hijack your thread... I think most of us need simple explanations  and more information on planned

projects. Some information is way too technical for people to understand.

I've just tried to register FiatCoin.com, but somebody has beaten me to it.

I thought I could use it to wite about how to get free fiat currency like the virtual dollar or vitual Sterling. Free money seems to be the main reason people are attracted to Bitcoin. I'm ambivalent as to whether Bitcoin is vitual "gold" or virtual currency at the moment, but either way, you have to work to accumulate it.

What do we gain from sig spammers promoting gambling sites?

I have this vision of the posters sitting at their computers adding another hundred useless posts to a thread that already has getting on for a thousand replies, and then, when the get their sig payment, they are onto the gambling sites to lose it all. Is that the image we wnat for Bitcoin?

i get what your saying. but i see too man blog/facebook/reddit and other threads talking about bitcoin and then instead of saying about jobs, businesses, slling products/skills. all they mention bitcoin is good for is sigspamming for a few pennies to cash out.

we should mention faucets/sigs.. but not as a way of "earning" (AKA wage/income) but only as a way to get a free small amount to play and learn bitcoin.

my post was about how it should be mentioned

top of the list should be JOBS and BUSINESSES..

yet all i see is sig spamming, gambling and daytrading as peoples first thoughts on how to get bitcoin.. which is not what a true economy should concentrate on.

Who is to blame for that? There are some signature campaign managers that are allowing this. On the other hand, some signature campaign

managers are doing a fine job at sorting the good from the bad. Do you know how much money is going through Bitcoin gambling at the

moment and how this is stimulation the whole Bitcoin scene? Take away the sig campaigns and the Bitcoin gambling sites and you will see

Bitcoin prices between $200 & $300, if you lucky. {thumb sucked stats} This forum also use all this traffic to attract advertisers and to pay

the bills. { Well, we used the traffic from another site to attract higher prices for our advertisement space, so I am just assuming that this is

the case with Bitcointalk }  Huh

What i think is it depends on someone's thinking if what they want to read about. There are newbies who are interested in things which mostly pro users like to read and there are also intermediate users who does not like reading such things and like newbie like things which are just explaining and giving some ways of earning bitcoins.

In my opinion every newbie in bitcoin want to understand about it in perfect ways .
And after it he wants to know the best way to make earning through this in huge amount .
Since speed earning in bitcoin in very starting needs huge investment in starting , but a new about can't do it .
So there would be something like a guide to flow own idea to get into a better way to make money through bitcoin , instead of losing time .

I'd also put a bit of focus towards learning people about how to implement Bitcoin into their online businesses. This could be at a beginner, intermediate or expert level, depending on what and how you teach it.

Mention plugins (Wordpress, Joomla etc.) that help you set-up a store that accepts Bitcoin payments or point them towards resources to start programming Bitcoin related projects.

i believe mainly people are looking for profit, because most of them are seeing bitcoin as an investment anyways. so they are looking for anything about speculation.

but also many newer members are looking for "ways to buy bitcoin" you can also see this in the search term trends from google.

and always topics about security and how to make a proper cold storage is good to read for new bitcoin users.

There is a FOMO brewing...

I will share my personal experience about it. When I first heard about bitcoin, I doubted it and think that it is a scam. I googled about it and learn about it in my own. Then I ask people about it and surprisingly only few people know about Bitcoin. But when I ask about Bitcoin on people that don't have an idea about it, they are questioning me back what is the deal about it. When I've explained to them that it is a virtual currency, they always seek and ask me how they will earn from it.  So in my personal experience, they are looking for money via Bitcoin. Instead of getting more interested they are getting turned down when I'm saying that you will need to work to get it I don't know why people always look for money when something anew are being introduced to them, but when youre to them that you're going to work to earn, some will not pay attention afterwards. Of course Bitcoin has great potential, but a community that only seek for money without working ( sometimes they want to be instant millionaires )does not worth the price. Golds are hard-earned so does Bitcoin.

I do think so. I just suggest to add kind of motivation why they should own bitcoin, invest on bitcoin, and the story of succesful people on earning bitcoin because I see some people are not interested in bitcoin until they see the proof.

Newcomers wanted to read guides on how to start with bitcoin. How to create wallets, where to get free bitcoins, how to avoid scammers and etc. Intermediate will most likely find some ways to increase their earnings, they want to read on some tricks on trading and investing on sites. The professionals would like to read some latest news and articles pertaining cryptocurrency and latest news on bitcoin such as ET, mining and etc.
