I also have a dog and I love her very much. I don't understand those people who scoff at the animals. Asians eat dogs!!! How can this be? I wish them to choke on the dog and die. I have these monsters do not believe people.

I understand what you mean. It is indeed cruelty that is practised in most Asian countries.

But you have to see from another perspective! Try to think in the shoes of those people. You just try to take your western point of view and just put it in another continent, a different culture and people. What do you do to rats? Do you take care of them on a daily basis?
Because that's what dogs are in lots of countries. In Taiwan for example, dogs are a real plague to the country. They're numerous, breed like rabbits and nothing or no one control them! So animal cruelty yes, but they HAVE TO get rid of them. The festival of dogs for example, it's a horrible day during which Chinese all go around and torture dogs before killing them. Well the torture part isn't... Necessary that's true but these days are an incredible way of controlling dog population.

If its what the other guys are thinking then its Japan because they allow the killing of dolphins which are intelligent and sentient animals.

Japan. There's a lot of cases of abuse of domestic dogs and cats, which incluse torture and poisoning. Not only that, but as said before, there's also the slaughter of dolphins.

 It is most certainly Antarctica.  Sure, those penguins look all cute and cuddly but given the opportunity, they'd kill you and everyone you ever cared about.
Yet they are nothing compared to the deadly Krill.  They may be tiny but they can overwhelm you by their sheer number.  Their muscular, segmented tails can inflict severe damage to an unsuspecting human.  Don't let those big black eyes fool you; you don't stand a chance.  Just steer clear of the southern polar region of earth for your own safety.

Not only dogs, cats, but they also eat cats. I can't understand, then the docile animals how they would like to eat. Always amazing cruel, in order to make money, people can always no bottom line.

Well lets not blame CHina and Japan if we eat chicken, pork and beef then we are the same people who dont pity animals. Around the world millions of chickens, cows and pig are being slaughtered everyday. If we are discriminating CHina for eating dogs then we should not also eat poultry since they are animals. So lets be vegetarian so we dont belong to their level and also dont drink milk, since milk factories slaughters calf so they can harvest milk.

While I understand that it can be part of their cultural heritage to kill dogs, I think that since we are now in the modern times it is about time for them to change the practice and start placing more value to dogs beyond the meat and the bloody rituals.

When we are going to talk about dogs here then China is indeed the most dangerous place in the world. They have been killed already thousands of dogs to make foods out of it, which is really not necessarily because there is a lot of animals out there that could be turned out in a very great food, like Pigs, chickens, fishes and so on, but why Dog?, Dog is a man's bestfriend and the most loyal animal that do ever exist in the world for me. Although I don't like the killing of endangered animals, the East Asians need to be appreciated for their diverse diet. This helps them to assemble nutrient rich meals, even at the time of droughts and other natural catastrophes.

well, you can't say it's animal abuse. If it is, then eating pigs and chikens also count. Also I think a dog is more valuable than a chinese, but this is nature, you can do nothing.
