With a hidden camera they filmed animals undergoing mistreatment.

I definitely agree with you, chinese people must be stopped for their animal cruelty, dogs are not meant to be eaten, they are pets. They are not apart of livestock. These must be stopped, even if they treat it lime a delicacy.

Well lets not blame CHina and Japan if we eat chicken, pork and beef then we are the same people who dont pity animals. Around the world millions of chickens, cows and pig are being slaughtered everyday. If we are discriminating CHina for eating dogs then we should not also eat poultry since they are animals. So lets be vegetarian so we dont belong to their level and also dont drink milk, since milk factories slaughters calf so they can harvest milk.

You are right. They are pets. In WESTERN culture 

So what should Chinese makes of your outrage? Or the one point five billion of muslims for that matter. Those dont kill dogs for food, they kill them as pests and for fun. Seriously.

Take care of your pets, where you live. Dont ask of people elsewhere to do the same. They are not like you and perhaps never will be.

If you want to discuss about Extinction of animal then it should be discussed in the environmental aspect, if we can't protect this environment then we can not provide a suitable nature for the living of animal. From my point of view, China and America are the most dangerous countries which are producing carbon at a alarming rate, so it should be controlled by strict law... otherwise our beloved planet will face a huge challenge to protect man and animal...

You're right. Fot example, in china's yulin dog meat fest. From our perspective in the modern era, we abhorr the slaughter and consumption of dog meat. But for the people of yulin, this has long been a tradition. We can't force them to just suddenly cease what their doing for a long time. This is rampant in many places in china though i think the yulin festival has been put off following a huge outcry by many advocates for animal rights.

Okay, we have different opinion but the foie gras I think is the liver of the fattened duck and it is done that way for human consumption.  Dogs are not made for that.  They are man's bestfriend.  Yes correct, westeners should stop killing sharks for the sake of having its fin.  Do other fish do not taste the same fins?  Maybe the way to stop it is not to appreciate it.

It's all about the hierarchy...some animals are allowed to be killed and no one gives a shit...others will create a shit storm.

Remember Cecil the lion that was killed?  People only cared because that particular lion had a name and got on the news.  Almost no one cares if you go fishing to catch and eat fish.  But if you go hunting for land animals to also eat, it has a very different connotation to some people like hunting deer for example (even people that eat meat themselves).  Most people that carry these views don't understand the atrocities going on around the world, focus on a narrow part of it, and have a very strong opinion towards it.

You will understand how barbaric is this practice after watching the video. I never ever had Foie gras in my entire life. And I will never take it in the future as well. And regarding the shark fin, it is not about harvesting the fin. It is about the pain which the sharks have to undergo while the hunters extract their fin (while they are still alive).

The Cecil scandal was entirely unnecessary. The hunters pay a heavy license fee to be able to shoot these animals. This cash, is in turn given to the conservation activities and to the welfare of the people living around the national parks. By taking a single life, the hunter is protecting dozens of others. They are much better than the keyboard warriors here.

China would be number 1. There're a lot documentaries showing how cruel Chinese's towards the animals. I saw a video way way back, Chinese workers are force feeding chicken and ducks to look big and healthy. The thing is they are using metal pipes to suck in the food directly to mouth down into stomach. Also, Duck's feather are forcefully removed while they're still alive and to add they are wallowing the ducks into pale of Hot water ALIVE!. To add, they do have festival wherein they're killings dogs for entertainment.
