Since OP said this thread is intended to get an idea for how long SEPA transfers take to/from bitstamp, I hope he won't mind if I chime in:

SEPA transfer initiated Saturday night. Credited to my bitstamp account on Monday morning.

==> took about 24 to 30 hours Don't think it can get any faster. Smiley

I didn't know you could do SEPA transfers over the weekend, that's good to know!

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Well, another day and not a peep on my account.

"Please be patient" just isn't enough to ease my worry anymore.

If Bitstamp had posted a note on their site, or even sent out a mass email to all clients with a progress report of number of outstanding deposits vs. completed ones, it would have been a sign that they're dealing with it seriously. A daily update like that would only take them minutes to put together.

Those with more recent deposits are getting to enjoy the cheaper bitcoin prices, while the cries of the rest of us are going ignored.

I've asked TransferWise to help me process a claim against Bitstamp for my deposit now and I will post anything helpful here for those interested.

As soon as I have my money back, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

not even being able to login in is even worse.  feels like now my money's been taken they're not interested any more.  still waiting for a reply to my email on 11/4, 12/4 and 13/4 and i've emailed info@ and support@ (of which has mysteriously disappeared from their about us page).

Yes it is beyond a joke now. Bitstamp, your conduct is extremely unprofessional

How come your tickets get responded to and mine are simply ignored?!

Sent on the 10th of April. Literally copied and pasted recepient details. I helped my bro do the same. He got his two days later - mine stuck in a black hole. He made 30% in a single transaction - I'm sitting on my laurels wondering what's going on. I'm going to be voting with my feet - anyone have better experiences elsewhere?

Can someone PM the 24-year old CEO - I think he's in London. He was asking about bitcoin events in London - he might be in Paddington tomorrow.

Also waiting for 220 EUR deposit made via TransferWise from UK on Wed 10th (to their old account - made before notice of new details). One response from support on Sat asking me to provide proof of transfer (which I did) - nothing since. Unacceptable!

My deposit (made last Wednesday into the old account) has just appeared in my Bitstamp account.

Clearly this is a bit f*ck up and is not acceptable, but at least they are dealing it and not running off with our money.

Now... when shall I buy my coins? I am buying mine to spend, but it looks like we might be at the bottom of another dip... so maybe I should buy and hold them for a few days before spending...!?

Thanks all.

Morning all.

My money finally appeared in my account this morning too.

Phew! what a load off!

I'll have to ask Transferwise to stand-down now on my claim.

I hope the rest of you start seeing your deposits soon  Smiley

Indeed I probably could (although one can go mad trying to time the market right).

I'm in this for the long-haul. Hoping the pumpers and dumpers will disappear soon, so the rest of us can start actually using bitcoin the way it was intended.

I received my SEPA withdrawal of +$10,000 today and I made it on 11th. Be patient if you still are missing some transfers. Im sure Bitstamp is working as hard as they can to satisfy everyone.

For me Bitstamp is still the number one exchange and Im sure I will be using it in the near future.

My deposit has also been credited which is obviously a big relief but I'm still disappointed in the way this episode has been handled, better communication throughout would have made it much less stressful. Hopefully lessons have been learned and Bitstamp will continue to improve from here.

Mine just came through today at 10:19 BST.

I sent it on the 12th of April at 7AM, just over 4 days total which considering it's a weekend isn't too bad.
