There are transactions which got confirmations after 2-3 days. It doesn't make bitcoin to get collapse or to get vanished. Importantly once after sending, the receiver end gets it in the form of unconfirmed transaction. That itself serve as a confirmation that its on process towards the proper wallet address. So no more waiting is required to see all the confirmations.

FTFY. If you can't afford to spend 10 cents on fees, maybe Bitcoin isn't for you.

Try to pay atleast 0.00015BTC in fees these days if you want faster confirmation, use web wallets like blockchain.info which will suggest you fee so that your transaction will get confirmed within next block or https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ can help you find what is enough fee depending upon your transaction size. Don't try to save few pennies.... Grin

The transaction is not very large either, just one input and one output, I had a larger transaction confirm quicker with one tenth of your fee (amount of bitcoin transferred makes no difference).
Some blocks are coming in half empty, it will get in eventually.
We really do need those 8MB blocks.

If you don't have sole and complete control over the private keys, you don't have any bitcoin!  Signature campaigns are OK, zero tolorance for spam!

Sometimes stuff like that happens. Probably fee-related to be honest. Just scanned the transaction and didn't reference the current fees, but I have never had something delayed that long and a large majority of the time I get transactions through within a few hours at most.

The transaction time issue mostly comes down to fees to my issue, confirmation times shouldn't be changing.

well, it is not going to die but if this continues happening and fees keep on rising because of the competition, bitcoin will turn into a completely speculation tool. which people only buy to sell and get out with more fiat.

Fees aren't rising, at least not by a significant amount.

The reason why OP made this thread is because he didn't pay a normal fee. Also, for some reason, the thread title is very over-exaggerated. Sending bitcoin without the normal fee will cause transactions to be very slow. It's like in a business, would someone rather serve the client paying more, or less?

With all the delay in transactions I have been reading, I have been reading, I have not witnessed any delay in transaction as I even did some transfer recently and it went fine without any delay. But I think the delay being experienced, will somehow be attached to transaction fees attached in that as we all know if the transaction fee is too low, the amount transferred might not deliver until forever...

well, i am not talking about OP's transaction alone. what i am talking about is this: https://blockchain.info/charts/mempool-count?timespan=60days
according to http://bitcoinfees.21.co/ the fee for OP tx should be about 17,000 and he has included 10,000
and right now there are 10,000 transactions waiting to be confirmed. how many of these transactions do you think have less than 90 satoshis/byte?
a couple of days ago when it was 50,000 transactions, how many of those do you think included 90-100+ satoshis/byte?

how much longer are we going to compete with each other and pay miners more until we start realizing we need a solution?

yes, You must pay transaction fee of 0.0002btc or more  then it will take about 30 minutes or 1 hour to transfer if you pay small fee under 0.0002btc it will take too long for that transaction (usually about 3 days later ).

You are Hero Member and you dont know the reason of this delay, as the price of bitcoin rise the transaction fees is also getting high so according to it you have to pay the fees then only it will get confirmed very soon. If you pay low then wait for more time to clear it.

maybe your fee is to low and makes the transaction is pending, i think its better if we use normal fee or high fee to make sure our transaction is getting confirms. i think the transaction time will be solve soon so bitcoin user don't have to wait too long to see their transaction is completed.

in my opinion, people still use bitcoin wether the transaction is not confirmed within a day, because the value of bitcoin is more than just the transaction and i think people is willing to wait more time for the transaction.

I don't think that such minor delays would be a strong reason to kill bitcoin. I think this is kind of exceptional case (there are many but the overall percentage is not much). Bitcoin is still a cheapest and fastest way to remit funds worldwide without formalities and limitations. While having a broad approach, I don't think these minor causes would affect much. It might give trouble on local level (eg - while shopping offline).

you probably just didn't sent it with the correct fee, which is on average 22k satoshi, check the size of your transaction, before determinating the correct size or use the automatic settings

Why not spending more satoshi for fees, at least the transaction fees not ask you to pay fees amount which more than your amount want to transfer (sign: wastern union).

I have some issue too with the transaction, it's taking so longer than I know bitcoin 1-2 past years ago, I used default fees of course. At least is not over 2-7 days to confirm with default fees.

Than we should not promote Bitcoin in public saying that Bitcoin transaction charge lowest fees than it is false information we are spreading between users.
we should also say them that low fees but transaction will not confirm within 3-5 days.
