Am I the only one getting "404 page not found" while connecting to blockchain.info ? Literally a chill ran down my nerves!Someone please confirm they're not hacked and the issue is just from my server side.

-Checked out their facebook page : People have started posting the same now.
-I managed to open the wallet but no content is being displayed that is my balance.

I got the same error when I tried to login through their app. I hope they did not get hacked, but as far as I know they do not store our private keys online.

I just checked my wallet and can see this:

http://prntscr.com/duuvjc

It's showing for transactions sent to many addresses. The wallet is making new changes and hence this will happen often I guess.

I've seen this also in their facebook page and even their twitter, there's so many issues faced this service.

I guess changing wallet service from web to desktop will be much better aftet this chained problem about blockchain.info just saying.

You are not the only one Patatas, I have the same problem, when I try to load blockchain.info there is only white page with message "404 page not found".
This is not the first time it is happening, 2 days ago was the first time I saw this error. I wonder what is their problem now, their twitter is silent about this issue.

Maybe this guy really knows that issue regarding blockchain is going to happen. Stop using blockchain.info already  ! I tried to log in in my block chain wallet and it seems to have a problem but I don't experience that error 404. The problem is the page keeps on loading and it doesn't display the amount of bitcoin. It's all fine now, just checked it again.

Indeed.Been using them for 2 years or so but never had any problems apart from usual server downtimes or ddos attacks couple of times a year.
On the security side, they are pretty much dominant over the hackers since they don't have access to the private keys or URL identifiers.
Assuming a hacker somehow manages to get the Login Identifier,I'm pretty sure accessing the password is a tough nut to crack.Other way round,if the manager to hack the database for password hashes, getting the Login identifier is almost impossible.
So I'm still okay with using the service. Smiley

So do I, I haven't any issues with them for almost a year even though I am being worried about this problem but they already resolved it immediately. Since they are web wallets this is the risk that many are saying that we shouldn't use web wallets for storing our bitcoins. Still I will go with their service if something happens again for worst then I will pull out using them.

Nothing wrong with making use of online wallet services assuming they are legit operating businesses of course.

Main point of attention is that you don't use it to store all your coins there for a long time as there is a major risk as theoretically everything can be accessed online by an hacker.

If you just stick to using it with small amounts for your daily transactions since it's more convenient than a heavy desktop client, then continue using it.

Despite of their frequent site issues I find it an advantage of blockchain.info that they supply you with your private keys. If the site for example is offline, you'll still be able to access your coins.

Something wrong with electrum that you guys missing to use? it's a lite wallet and also secure and more importantly it's on your own computer or phone and you have the full access so why not using that instead of web wallet?

It seems that you're off topic as what OP's referring here but have a sense also as what you're suggesting.

I prefer to use the desktop instead if the mobile wallet of electrum. BTW I'm using electrum now, and I just started this month to use it.

As when I visited blockchain yesterday I get also 404 error, but it looks good now, better to check it.

I can't think of any way that a hacker can have your coins in block chain unless they will penetrate directly to BC's database. But accessing online with your account seems to be a hard thing, they need to find out first your private key before they can have access with it.

There are plenty of ways of how hackers can reach to the hot wallets of blockchain.info. Note that the danger can also come from either the user side or from within blockchain.info as well.

It of course doesn't mean that during the time that you make use of blockchain.info that such a thing will happen, but I always try to be one step ahead where I don't expose my coins to unneeded risks.
