Is there an ETA on a Windows wallet? How do we mine this? I'm concerned there isn't much information out there that people can easily get a hold of.
I think it would be the best to wait for the wallet, so you can get an address, then look at the pools from page 1, find some x11 miner and maybe we have some luck figuring it out

All new VirtualCoin Users: PREVENT WALLET SYNC ISSUE: (enable both when you run it the first time) Once Wallet is released. Also, it is very important that your ISP modem have UPNP enable or you may have issues mining & sync. Examples of enabling UPNP (depending on Modem Manufacture) DD-WRT: TP-LINK: LINKSYS: TELUS: COMCAST: Otherwise Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=ISP+modem+%22enable+UPNP%22&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=XJust add name of your Modem's manufacture in the search box. For Advance users, please create forward rule to allow TCP/UDP PORT 443 to your NAT IP: 192.168.x.x (PC) etc. Reward for 1st 1000 blocks is up to 100x

Why use port 443? That requires admin/root on systems to open up, and maybe ppl already have a webserver running on that port... Also added a signature.. all I could fit in 50 characters

Change virtualcoin.conf "port=30000 But even in that case, I suggest create port forwarding rule to allow traffic. Outside port TCP 443, inside port TCP 30000 & your PC's IP address.

Agree, if you want to support & allow office users behind corporate firewall, we have to use either port 80 or 443. Most work PCs run 24x7, that will provide VirtualCoin network stability also allows users from office to mine coins as well.

That would still make my (imaginary) webserver unaccessable behind my router since 443 goes to my computer and not webserver. If I forward port 30000 and configure to use port 30000, will the wallet tell the network to use port 30000 towards me or is 433 "set in stone"?

We will have dual compatibility for nodes, but primary & stable port will still be 443.

No issues here, I see 72 connected. Difficulty 96 is still good for GPU mining (don't waste if only wants to use CPU)
Still only on 293 block, BONUS continues till 1000. Early miners will benefit the most. Just leave your PC on, I was able to mine 2 blocks with just my CPU overnight when many GPU rigs were off. So worth running wallet 24x7

This one should be interesting. Other than the cost of the coin I haven't have a clue if VC will be worth it.
