Considering that there is price rise on election day we will probably see something like that tomorrow.Today price of BTC is on most exchanges 900$+ and it is going up.This time western exchanges and China exchanges are completely equalized,on BitFinex and OKCoin 904$ and almost the same on Bitstamp and Coinbase.

Right, but it seems that the chinese have less power everytime they try to collapse the price (by chinese i mean official statements by the chinese government)

It's not so clear. Most of the Chinese trading volume is inflated because of the BTCC/Huobi/OKCoin no fee policy.
It's even worse: these exchanges reduce withdrawal fees for traders with high volume - so traders are given an incentive to trade more than necessary (mostly with bots).

Some of the "Chinese traders" are even whales from the "western world" trading at Chinese exchanges, trying to multiply their BTC.

To answer the question: It may be possible that the OP is right, but it would be because of a convergence of an event which some think that is bullish for BTC (I think it's more bearish long-term, because protectionism is bad for BTC) with technical indicators. We're actually recovering from the correction to the 700-800 level, and if the price does keep above 900 until tomorrow I expect another jump.

The price this morning was $892 and now at the end of the trading day on the stock exchange it is at above $900 at $906 last time I checked.

A bigger effect will not be there in the price due to the inauguration of Trump as new US president. If his activities or signs show a positive response to the virtual currency community we can get a small variation upwards from the present price and as someone suggested it won't serve as a start to the rally towards $1000.

As things stand now nothing has happened in last 24 hours regarding price increasing.On western exchanges price is around 900$ and on Chinese exchanges price is even lower then yesterday-OKCoin 894$.It seems that the Chinese authorities began serious work-introduction of order in their exchanges and seem that they not have enough power to start new pump.

No. It is highly expected some new economical formation from the new US government as Trump has already hinted about it. So, I am also expecting bitcoin prices will be up surging by this weekend.

The bitcoin price moves in cicles. The chinese market allways flats on the weekends, and in the Monday it cames back to life. Its a 5 days cicle, that gives shorters time to profit without the fear of losing the train.

Trumps tweets get more media attention then what happened during that day.
He is a bear person so do not expect the price to skyrocket. It is increasing now only because arramageddon didn't happen when he got sworn on the bible and the world is still here. So there is some relief and growing positivity for hope of a happier time in the world.

It's been a week and the price stayed at the same stage as it was but I don't think that Trump can do something so fast that could destroy a very successful industry which is increasing maybe the economy of the lots of people in the world. The target of $1000 is not far it is only +10% of the actual price which can be pumped within a day or two.

I'm not sure if Trump inauguration few days ago will give so much effect to bitcoin market if there's no any economics policy issued regarding bitcoin or push investors to invest on bitcoin. I think we do not need to wait until Christmas and I think it was very long. Price $ 1,000 will definitely be achieved between March-August later because bitcoin prices now still close so it will be very easy to reach it, but it will take time but it is not that long in my opinion. if you change your definition of stable price for bitcoin because it is different for bitcoin, then you can see that price of bitcoin is actually stable and the changes are because of the way this market is and how small it is. and right now we are seeing a stability phase.

Usually, the beginning of the year the price of the bitcoin is always stable, the speculators have not been much intervention so the price like a straight line.

Nope bitcoin is not stable all the time. It is volatile only. We can see that recent days bitcoins value in raising face and crossed the 900$. If we wish to reach 1000$ or more than that we have to wait till the this year Christmas.

We are not going to experience such a price increase greater than $1000, probably by the february end we might be staying in between the price of $930 - $950 and not more than that. If it is to give an increase we could have experienced the bump in price this week as its the end time of January.

Maybe, the best way is stop look and check the price as I'm sure mostly of us here always do it at least 5-10 times a day.
Bitcoin price won't go nowhere this month after big corrected, we should check the price next month, by the way it just 2 days later.

This is what I am expecting also. That is why I am closely monitoring the price right now since it very near  1000$. Once it hit my target price, I will sell some bitcoins and wait for it to fall back down again to less than 900 before I buy some bitcoin back. I hope this strategy works for me.

I feel bad for all the idiots that thought Bitcoin was going back to 300 and didn't buy the obvious cheap coins on the 700 range. Now that bitcoin has proven to be able to trespass the 1000 USD psychological barrier without the need of fake chinese volume I hope the FUDsters shut the fuck up and start buying if they don't want to miss out on being rich.

Good job, we are finally at 1000$+ in bitstamp and bitfinex, BTC-E still didn't reach it, I hope it reaches it soon since it's a good sign when all exchanges are able to pass the 1000$ mark, after this we will see what happens. But bitcoin has indeed proven that it does not need anything dodgy to break the $1000 mark. Now people cant say "oh its just fake chinese volume" or "its just willy" or whatever.

I just noticed it on blockchain's price ticker when logging in to my account. I was thrown back when I looked at the top seeing $1000.79 

It didn't take to long to break that resistance point and did it quite easily if you ask me. No fluttering back and fourth this time. Just straight bull rush push to the top!

We are back on track for 1000$ bitcoin it is only a matter of days if not hours. By the end of this week it may be easily above ATH!!

Here we are as I said. 1000$ will soon be the floor!!! We still have 3 more days to break past ATH by the end of this week!!
