To be honest 50$ is too little to invest, you won't get much if you invest with that amount of money, for legit place to invest i will suggest casino, but for your case I think you better invest in bitcoin, just buy and hold, investing in alt coin is also not a bad idea if you know how to choose the coin, but since you are still beginner I suggest to stay away from alt coin

At this moment of time when bitcoin is very progressive, we should not be looking for another investment. The reason why some altcoins are dropping it's value is because whales are putting their investment to transfer in bitcoin, they have done their research very well and if we want to be successful like them, we must follow their lead.

Not all the time that alt coins are always more profitable than bitcoin. For me Bitcoin is leading in investments and with what you are saying, I don't think that generalizing alt coins are always profitable is wrong, because there are a lot of coins that are just coming out like mush room and will be dumped for a few days.

Not only altcoin trading but in general trading is not an easy thing or easy to make money for everyone. Even many experts lost a lot of money in trading, so before jump into it, one should learn at least basics of trading and start with small amounts until you know how things work. Otherwise, there is a chance that can lose a lot of money in trading as well instead of making money.

$50 would be really sufficient enough on joining ICO but be sure to choose the right coin so that it would really worth your money and not to be wasted because if you choose the wrong coin then you will become bag holder of that shitcoin. I will favor for to invest in ICO because in ICO a person will not need to wait for more longer but the best coin often start to increase up higher just after its ICO finish while if he invest in altcoins then he will have to wait for longer and have to wait for the more adopters to join it and after it the price of it will increase and he will earn money with it.
