I heard somewhere that their biggest advantage is that they stick together. Lets say its big family, you have couple brothers, and couple cousins. All gather and help 1 of you to succeed, open business or something like that. When you get on your feet you do the same for other.

I think this is one of the most important reasons. In fact, the Jewish success is the result of a past of the last 200-300 years. Their society has always been an undesirable race. They are forbidden to enter many occupations. Because they can not own land, they have invested in products such as gold, jewelery which are easier to carry. And they just have to deal with trade. They set up the banking system and made them successful using interest.
