There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

More coins will be developed in typical blockchain reward format once the product launches. https://melonport.com/learnA maximum of 1,250,000 MLN will be created before the final version of the Melon protocol is deployed to the live network. Following the live deployment, a fixed amount of new token will be created periodically and be distributed towards the most widely used Modules of the Melon protocol. From Mona El Isa (founder) on slack channel For those who would like to check out the portal, this is what we have built so far: http://portal.melonport.com/Disclaimer: - its still a bit buggy (sorry but we have to stop work on prototype now as we are too close to the feb 15 sale) - UI is very basic (it will get better) but hopefully easy to use. We have focused on the code not the appearance -The code won't be released at the moment by popular opinion we'll wait till around the sale times but you can see the link to the deamon/transactions on the testnet -We'll try to link up trading and exchange module to the portal too before launch but can't promise. they are coded integrating 4 crypto assets (as an inital test) but its a matter of linking contracts which takes time -This is just to give an idea and feel of what we are building and to show its moving forward and will get much better |
