I think you are referring it to supply and demand rule. Yes this is it. Actually when the prices are low this indicates that bitcoins are enough in the market and supply is satisfactory, while the demand isn’t that much high. But when supply becomes short and demand is getting higher, prices automatically starts jumping up the tree and those coins become so expensive, so are the bitcoins.
