this thread is a shit storm of shitty marketing...
at this point it looks like a complete scam.
my legitimate question asked at least 5 times was completely ignored by so called "devs" whoever they may be.
gui wallet failed to materialize, although there were some promises and even pictures of something which looked like Mist in different colors.
I'd be really surprised if I'll be able to get back even my electricity costs.

this is how it looks from my perspective:

The Ubiq devs are Jyap and Xocel.

I would recommend joining Slack. There's a ton of helpful people there and the devs are pretty good about answering questions as well.

Hey mate, I don't really want to dig back through 10 pages of gembitz talking to find your question, but if you reply with it to this post, I'd be glad to answer it. Or join our slack and find a dozen people willing to answer Smiley

slack.ubiqsmart.com

The developers of Ubiq opted to go with an unmoderated thread, and while I commend them for this decision, it does have obvious trade offs as well. Anyway, don't judge a coin based off the worst of its shills, because those are just traders who jump from coin to coin. Ubiq's community is awesome, it's simply much better reflected by our slack, rather than an unmoderated announcement thread on Bitcointalk.

Yo relax my man. No pumpers here, just Ubiq loyal holders who are really excited for the launch of Ethereum-killer!!  Grin Grin

Not the first day, but UBIQ has potential to be much much more than actual 1.3M market cap. 5-10 M I would say that is a fair price.

Relax and enjoy the show, it's gonna be a fun ride.   Wink Wink

https://www.cujournal.com/news/how-the-payments-industry-came-to-accept-legal-marijuana

 Cool

"Tokken uses bitcoin blockchain to peg marijuana transaction information to its blockchain so that banks and regulators have an immutable, time-stamped record. Information about each transaction is hashed and input on the bitcoin blockchain. In this way consumers, businesses, banks, regulators and law enforcement agencies can view the system and ensure there’s no tampering, Zarrad said.  "

If it would be modded, fagbitz would be the only poster making conversations between his own alts.

The point of modding is to remove spammy posts. The downside being, censorship. so it's a tradeoff. Anyway, your post seems worded backwards.

What about the cost to mine 1 UBQ today, how much is it?

This really depends on a lot of variables with the main one being your local electricity costs.

We could, for example look at the cost of ETH rentals vs amount of UBQ received in return for x hash. You can work out an average cost per UBQ from that.
That is some simple maths you could work out.

You could also look at 1GPU with average of 30Mhs.
Then go fishing in a pool to see how much UBQ per Day someone with 30mhs is getting then divide that by local power costs on 500W for a local fiat cost per UBQ. Then just convert to BTC.

This has some issues however as China miners will be getting cheaper rates than say, US  or EU Miners.

It all depends on electricity costs at the end of the day.

Something you will need to research locally for yourself then do some simple maths to find your answer.
It will be different for everyone around the world so there is no straight forward answer.
