How to spot a gambler addicted?

I think that usually a guy which play games for a long time, risk to became a gambler addicted. Which method you use for stop plaiyng when you understand that you are near to became addicted?

i don't agree with this. it doesn't matter if you gamble for 1 second or 1 month. you become a gambling addict if your personality is an addict's personality.
if not you can gamble for a long time, manage your money and limit the risks while having fun with this game and never lose more money that you can afford to lose.
but if someone has an addictive personality he is going to become a gambling addict the first bet he makes but he wouldn't know it until he has lost lots of money.

For example, i don't play a lot or for long time (i play games spot during my free time), so i have no idea about, but i trade forex all day and when i had a significant  loss i usually turn off my Pc and i go out for a drink , just for not run behind loss.

it's true, I play gambling when first beginning to know about bitcoin. I play quite a long time and get addicted to about 1-2 years. but after that I started to get bored with gambling that does not give you a good advantage. so currently only play when having free money And consider gambling as entertainment.

An addicted gambler to me is some one who is on the losing end because you cant be winning and I will regard you as addicted because that is just normal for people through gambling or any other means to be addicted to making money. So, for someone who is losing every time then its not normal then that is an addicted user who will be losing and putting the economic status of friends and family in shambles..

You can't base addiction from their win streak or lose streak. It is not about the statistics of a gambler that makes them addicts. It's all about how frequent and how obsessed they are in it that they cannot stop themselves anymore. An addict wants to play every single second of his life, that's what defines them.

Addict gamblers were the one who realize the true factors about long suffering and finally becomes a pro gambler. Addiction is a simple thing. You place on particular sports and if won lucky, if failed he tries to compensate by placing big bets. Imo there's nothing wrong in playing for a long time as long as you can control yourself to stop gambling anytime then you don't have to worry about it.
For your question I usually watch some movie or anime to avoid gambling, sometimes make myself busy to avoid thinking about gambling.

At gambling we spend two things that is money and time. So if we feel that we are spending too much money and do not back up then we are addicted and if we thing we are spending too much time no matter how much money then we are addicted here too. So I think it is also bad to play for longer.

well I think time is not the problem it is the player's greed if he can not control him/herself,
then I can say that he have a gambling addiction and if he can gamble all of his/her money then I totally would say that he/she is addicted to it.

2. If you would rather gamble than go out with your gf or so;

3. If you eat mostly behind your computer screen, gambling at the same time;

4. If you think of money mostly as of opportunity to gamble more;

Then you are most likely a gambling addict.

For me addicted gambler is those who cant control themselves anymore and because of that the relationship between his family is also affected negatively. so much losses yet cant stop playing. if thats the case, they need professional help to be able to overcome addiction. i am once addicted but i managed to change myself with that bad moment in my life, support of the family is a must.

Yes,I agree with you.A gamblers connected with gambling automatically and finally become so addicted to the game and the hope to win but in reality it not so easy as they wish at all.It can also be difficult to find out if you have a gambling problem also difficult to overcome from it.Gambling addiction a problem which if you have failed to control it you will suffer a long run.

It's simple. You just have to ask the people around you if they think that you're a gambling addict. You should know yourself best but if you don't, then the people around you are the ones that knows you the second best. Ask them if they notice you just gambling in front of your computer all of the time and if their answer is yes, then you should believe them even if you think that you're not spending that much time gambling. You might not notice it by yourself but somebody else does.

There are two thing you need to remember firstly people who are playing for fun, secondly people who are playing for money. People who are playing fun can easily quit gambling, People who are playing for money this type of people will not quit because there here to make money even though they lost money, still they will find ways to make money through gambling.

Anyways if you mean how to stop yourself from getting addicted to gambling, the first step is to realize and stop gambling before it's too late. Whenever you feel to gamble, try doing something else like something more productive. Try to get professional help as soon as possible. And if you mean how to spot if someone is addicted to gambling, it's quite simple. The person will try to gamble whenever he gets an opportunity. He gambles even if he is broke using other peoples money and can not live without gambling.

Yes indeed it can not be denied, it could do with a very long time. Because when playing, and the curious feeling of responsibility will continue to be in our minds, win, win and win.
If I when around this is to divert attention to other objects more attractive or anything else that could divert our minds no longer possible to play. If they can not, only the last way is to turn off your computer.

Length of playing, type of game they are playing, how they dress and present themselves, do they always carry around lots of fiat notes (if IRL), how much money they have total. Those kinda things.

For me it would seem to depend on the games I play, I feel like I'd get more easily addicted when playing slots as opposed to playing dice for example.
Also, I usually think beforehand on which days I'm going to gamble and for how much money, I usually stick to that routine.

Online gambling to me is just another form of procrastination and we all know what procrastination is. You'd know that you're a gambling addict if your objective was to do some work done so you opened your computer but the next thing you know, you're already in your favorite gambling site betting and talking to the trolls in the chat box. It's like it's okay for you to do gambling all the time that was allotted for your work.

One thing you should know, if you're starting to ask yourself "Am I a gambling addict?" That's the point that you hit the lowest level of gambling addiction. Stop right away before you get more addicted is what I can advise.

Your post made me laugh man, do you really think the way he/she dresses can get you spot an addicted gambler? The OP wants to know when he should know that he is addicted to gambling, and I guess the first thing that happens is "craving" for gambling. In my case, I felt sometimes like gambling is living so that was maybe a sign I should stop. Another thing is the amount you are risking. If you are starting to see that you are betting too much, it is time to stop.

You cannot easily spot an addicted gambler when you do not know him/her personally. This is gambling and we are in the world where clever people succeed, they might look addicted but in reality they are not. Usually, we know a person is addicted when he is part of the family.

As soon as you notice you are not making rational decisions anymore and start playing when you normally wouldn't, that is when you are addicted to gambling.

If you feel you are losing control, seek help, as the deeper you get into it, the harder it will be to stop gambling again.
