Gambling addicts always tend to be away from their families and even if they are present you'll feel that they are constantly distracted . They'll always be having some debts here and there and you'll realise that they are in pain most of the time . Such people prefer to gamble with money than to buy food with it and that addiction could make them loose everything they cherish in life .

Pain is something that will be obvious and notifiable to you. You can observe them and their behavior will ultimately show you they are running their lives in some pain. Plus like you have said, there are some chances that they have taken debts. They are manipulating and saluting the losses and profits every time. They don’t know in which way they are going in their life.

A person who got addicted to gambling is pretty easy to spot, you will realize he will be spending most of his time playing in the casino, even though he have lost all of his money away, he will always try every method to borrow money from anyone with all sort of lies and stories to fund his gambling addiction.

The pretty basic (For me) factor to know if a Gambler is already addicted to it is the uncontrollable psychological thirst towards gambling. A person in which he/she can't contain him/herself to stop thinking about his/her game. A person who is addicted to gambling tend to generate a mannerism in which some people will notice but for the person addicted to it doesn't.

The first stage of addiction (based from what I've noticed) is the denial stage, A person that denies that he/she already became addicted to gambling even though a lot of people are already trying to help him/her. For a person who is accused being an addict are pressure and/or the stress of thinking about it so the tendency is that they will return to gambling to ease their mind. The second stage is the emotional imbalance, A person who begins to or already an addict has this emotional imbalance in which an addict can't control its emotions while playing and not. It also attacks the mental capacity of an addicted gambler, meaning due to a sudden change of emotions an addict can't think properly, worst is that some are having illusions if they didn't play for a day or so. Which brings you the last stage of addiction, The Takeover. The total Takeover of gambling into the system of an addict. This is the stage in which an addict is ready to risk everything such as money (savings), Properties, family, relationships, and/or his/her own life just to satisfy is thirst in gambling. These people are now at the point in their life that they don't care, they'll just do everything for the sake of playing. (This are just my theories and base from what I've studied)

There seem to be a whole basket of underlying issues which may lead to gambling addiction. So if you want to stop gambling, you should first pinpoint what these issues are. Most likely your life is just dull and boring, so you search for a sort of distraction. Obviously, gambling, while it certainly makes you feel real, is not a solution. It may be helpful for a moment, but ultimately it will make your life even more miserable.

An addict no matter it's drug addict, gambling addict or women addict would frequently use it more than what normal people do. That's an easy definition indeed. Gambling addiction is really not like drug addiction where you will spot the addict behaving strangely and scratching themselves like all those addicts do, The only place to spot a gambling addict is normally at the casino, if someone is at the casino for more than 5+ hours at the casino, then without a doubt the person has a very serious gambling addiction.

People who are addicted to gambling does not necessarily mean that they are the saddest person alive,it is just fun to gamble and everybody does like to have fun and when they loose control on what they are doing and a mixture of greed will change any person to an addict.

I agree, those gambler are just think about their self, they don't care about other saying as long as they are happy of their activities were considered as passion of their life. But if somebody convince him which considered as a closed of their heart, perhaps they will change and make their life normal or some friends whose have another activities that could make him divert from gamblin that could still make him entertained.

obsession is the main factor that spots an addicted gambler and once if they addicted they will not care about anyone, gambling addiction are something similar to other addictions like an alcoholic addiction tough to control that, in the same way, gambling also once they addicted very hard to control.

These people usually cut off their relation with their beloved ones because they don’t want them to suffer from things which they haven’t done.

They will always try to play, even though their money is gone. Not even a few gambling addicts, selling the stuff they have just to go back to gambling. I often see the addicts to sell mobile phones, motorcycles, and the worst of them is sell the house.

Yes in fact it is very easy for us to spot someone gambling addicts. Gambling addicts will give priority to gambling on anything, every time they have money, gambling is their goal to spend money. Selling items to gamble is a bad sign of gambling addiction, borrowing money on the next level, and stealing at the top of addiction.

Usually every addict will do it all if he is running out of cash. There is nothing new in it but honestly speaking I feel pity for all the addicts. The gambling addict will in early stages not recognize it all what he is doing to his life and the people associated with him like his friends and family. Some lucky people realize if they are becoming addicted and will give away but many when realize it they have lost everything around them.

But for every addicted person it is not important that they will  ruin their life, because i thinks till a lot of addicted gambling are there who are playing gambling for year even for decades but still they have their normal life and never ruined their life, in fact they have their own limit for playing gambling and they never try to cross the limit where they find it hard to afford their lost.

I think only those people who do not have any limit and strategy for gambling and they continue gambling tell their end they are mostly likely ruined their life even their family life.

An addicted gambler are those who keep on saying that they will stop when they lose but they keep on coming back. This kind of gambler is not the one that can be trusted, I dont say that they are bad people but rather that they cant be trusted with money. It is a hard truth when you cant even keep the words of yourself in gambling

Losing money in gambling make them more aggressive. After losing money convince themselves to play again and get their lost money back and after that they will stop playing gambling any more.

But I think even after recovering their lost money they continue playing gambling hopping to make money this time and this process continue for a long time and never come to an end. He continue losing money but still he is convincing himself to play gambling and make money for next time.

When I made big profit, I got addicted ! So I keep betting since I want more profit , more and more
Once I'm experience major loss at the end, I'm stop gambling at the moment. If I'm not experience it ( lossing ), then I will keep gambling over time!

Sometimes I try to change my loss but it turn worse so I'm decide to stop at all

The prominent thing that one can notice about an addicted is that despite multiple and continuous loss, the tend to still be in the game and gamble more and more to recover the loses and eventually end up getting into worse situation than earlier.

What you said is a perfect example. Ones someone wins for a while, the thrill of the game and the feeling of winning rides over them and now they want the same felong again and again and in that persuit they tend to play again and again. In this, they lose sometimes but still they want to play again and again because they live in the possibility that they might win once again and clear off all their loses.

This feeling and continuty of game is the indicator of someone who is quite addicted to the game.

Like anything that can form an addiction once you realise that you have a problem you have to start taking steps to sort yourself out. For some that could be stopping something completely. Every thing is ok in moderation but if it has really changed your life then it may be best to just give it a rest for a while.
