I don't quite agree with you on the forex thing. Unlike gambling, where you are unlikely to earn anything and rather lose all in the end, you can be successful at forex trading, and you would spend days trading there without being addicted at all. If you are successful at it, you would be striking profits while the iron is hot, so to speak, which is kind of natural thing for any rational person. Though trading can easily make you into an addict simply because it is gambling for most traders anyway.

When the gambler is at that level, gambling with borrowed money and selling his valuables, it will be difficult for him to get out. There are many examples of such cases around us if we are able to observe closely. Tbh, many bad examples gained from gambling compared to good one.

For me as i experience the same thing and i seen also that kind of thing on my relatives and co-baranggays or nieghbors. So that it is not a new thing to be heard for but since of that i have a tactics  that ive used to know on what time did i stop. The tactics that know my limmitations or know every things limmitation and ill stop when ive play more than  a 1-2 even 3 hours of playing because it can have a disadvantage when too used.

I don't agree entirely because not all gambling addicts are drunkards because there are exceptional cases but if you indeed want t spot the gambler from the onset then you should check his crave to play over and over again without having the need to go home or look out for his family or even friends but just keeps trying as if he has unlimited bankroll.

Actually, I will have to say that, spotting who are gambler addict does not necessarily requires to base it on their physical outlook. Most of the time, we can notice a gambling addict the way they act. Their attitude. I know some gambling addicts that aren't really haphazard and drunkard. I think we will know that he is an addict gambler when they commit their time in Casinos and use as much money as they can in gambling. Also, when they tend to sell most of their assets just to regain what they have lost in the previous games.

Crave to play is the best thing to notice in a gambler and then you can easily made your judgment whether he is an addicted one or just a casual one.

Better is not to get into this harmful game but still if you are comparing then I think you must be a casual one rather an addicted one. These addicted ones are nothing but a piece of flesh who are ready every time to use anything they have with them.

In my own thought i can easily spot,a person who have addicted in gambling because like a drug addiction the  effect have in common he  tremble and easily being nervous and  uneasy to himself,so in order to overcome this kind of addiction in gambling you must control yourself  and dont let the vices control you and by doing this gambling is only a part of your relaxation and enjoyment and no more personal that can turn into you in a big debt.

Theres no method but limitation of resources and time. To prevent addiction, i limit myself on a particular capital or even the amount of winning and limitation of time like limitting mysellf for about 3 hours maximum of gabling for about once or twice a week. If you can control yourself that way, you will not become addict.

That would be nice if you can control gambling, with proper control you will not lose any amount that you cannot afford anymore
as you have build a discipline and eventually it will just give you a real entertainment value. To become addicted will put you in a hard life situation,

I guess one of the most effective methods out there is only bringing the cash you are willing to lose. It is a good idea for people who want themselves to control the money they will spend in a casino of course the problem here will be stopping as you can either stop when you are out of cash or when you are satisfied with your winnings, the latter is much harder to control as when you get into the game you can be out of control. His urge of playing the game would increase with every passing second and definitely at one moment, he is gonna confess this. The most important point is his mind would keep on thinking about gambling even after him resisting this.
