I know that nobody knows for sure ...

But say estimated at a reasonable chance e.g. over 50%?

Is this our best guess so far?

S/He always used two spaces after the ending dot of a sentence. That's something only US people do.

I don't think so - at a British book publisher we always used two spaces in print…

Let's assign to Satoshi a nationality. Of all nations, China is most populous. Therefore, it's most likely Satoshi is Chinese.

How about an occupation? The most common occupation is a retail salesperson. Satoshi should therefore be a retail salesperson.

I've got it, folks: Satoshi is a Chinese Retail Salesperson!

I doubt there is such a thing as a mathematician that knows how to program in C++ so well.

A professional mathematician does probably not have time to learn a programming language as complicated as C++.

Also, maths in the bitcoin protocol are not really advanced.  It's easily comprehensible for any software engineer.

When Bitcoin really makes it big, I wonder if they'll write a book on Satoshi. Half of the book will be all of his posts on this forum. That would be interesting.

I'll be damned if he wasn't in every economics textbook by 2040.

Or science-fiction, or philosophy, or political science, computing-science.... the genres that Satoshi could fit into is literally endless.

If Philip K Dick was alive today, I wonder what interpretation he could make of Satoshi.

I think Satoshi is who created mt gox as well, Satoshi sounds like japanesse and is where mt gox is from, mt gox keeps the bitcoin as the unique crypto coin on his exchange. maybe mt gox the first exchange was in the plans from the begining.

I dont know if Satoshi was a common man who used his knowledge of maths and finances/ economy with his programing skills or there is a powerful man or group behind him, maybe the stablishment itself.. i think we will never know
