An escrow is basically a middleman , after agreeing on the terms :
1. Buyer sends the funds to the escrow.
2. Seller send the goods/services to the buyer
3. Buyer confirms that he received what both parties agreed to.
4. Escrow release funds to the seller.

And all the investment of the investors in the coin will be see in the escrow address, then you will find the address that you used for the investment. just like a blockchain but doesn't.
