The house edge has nothing to do with martingale 'not working', martingale is also used frequently on roulette and roulette has an even greater house-edge than most dice games.

You're losing with martingale because you don't have an unlimited bankroll and big losing streaks are bound to happen to anyone who plays often enough.

I see, but I never experienced bad luck from gambling because I DONT GAMBLE lol. But I have this friend that lost everything that he owned slowly due to gambling. It first started when he won continuously in gambling. He boasted about it and told everyone until slowly, all of his earnings started to decrease. Due to that, it created this attitude of him going back-to-back in casinos even if he was in debt. He then started borrowing money from his family members and to me and then, the expected happened. He committed suicide while leaving his family in debt, his child and his wife. That is why I really do not promote gambling in any way or if you gamble, please learn when to stop.

Yes there are people the lose a lot in gambling and they lost everything in it. But that is what most threads here try to avoid and advise people on what to do and not to do in gambling. This thread is one of those examples of what I am talking about.

So doubling your bet, won't it make your gambling more riskier? I know it helps to recover your initial losing bet, but what if you lose your next bet too? You will double it and if you lose again you will have to double it (assuming 50-50% chance). So more riskier than arbitrary betting in my opinion!

My worst time gambling was my very first time, I had never gambled before, and I went to a casino and played blackjack I won the first few hands an had some nice profits then I got overconfident and I lost about 120 dollars that day, to this day, that is my worst lost in a casino and one that I will never forget since I learned some valuable lessons that day.

I feel just like you. Every time I lose it's my worst gambling moment, and the more I lose the worst the moment is.

I've tried the martigale betting strategy too and it just doesn't work. It may seem to work but overall the odds stay the same because you will always get long win streaks and long losing streaks the more you play.

The problem is that in the long winning streaks you only gain the small initial bet each time. But in a long losing streak, you double the bet each time so if you get a long streak, the amounts you're losing get very high.

I think my recent worst moment where the other week when I am trying to have a place on the leadershipboard of FortuneJack.  I had made a wrong choice while playing rango.  My intention is to play as long as possible but instead of making my bet lower, I decided to increase my bet twice.  As a result my bankroll is depleted in an instance.  I could have gain more points if I stick to my initial plan.  Maybe next time when I feel like joing the race again, I will stick to my initial plan.

Sticking to the plan is really one of the things gamblers should always do. This is one of the causes people lose more money than they should have. If you plan to only play with about 1mbtc per session and you don't follow your own rule, then you risk yourself being exposed to a lot of more risks and you will likely lose a lot of money due to it.

I agree with you, and I was saying the same thing. I was replying to " i do experience lose on sports but not too much" saying that is because in sports you can't double your bet every two seconds. I know that's a dangerous thing to do and that you will lose a lot doing that most likely.
