Hi,

Wanted to see if anybody knew how to fix this before I go about shipping it back to China. This is an Antminer R4 8.7Th/s - Worked for a day then got this kernel log error (just copied pasted the end).

I've tried everything: flashing the firmware, hard reset, etc... even tried moving the physical chains on the control board...

Help would be nice - thanks in advance!!~

ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1757583.0 for this same topic...
And no, so far it seems the only cure is sending the miner in for repair.

Yeah that is about 16.67%

I estimate a 10 to 15% rate for r4 and s9.  So your rate seems normal.

If anyone else gets this error... whatever you do, don't leave your miner on in this state for long, I've had 2 boards burn themselves up literally.  The chips are heated highly, and the top right VRM chip started smoking in one.

if one board works and one does not just unplug the dead board from the psu.

the good board will run fine.

1 board attached  been running for 2-3 weeks

Well I have all 7 PCIe's plugged in as of current; they'll be shipped (whole units) back to BITMAIN in a week or so... I unplugged the one with the "Fatal Error" and that last post was making me so OCD that I just posted a new topic on S3/S5/S7/9/(mostly R4) fires ever occurring and in what situation....

4 defective or half-hashing out of 18 - this is ridiculous.

Yes, I have 2 that have one good board... (7.5 and 8.7) they're still working. BITMAIN better not be slow about the repair/replacement... :/
