My current setup:

AMD17.4.3, mod with 1750 to 2000
Power +5
Core: 1215
Mem: 2045 (will slowly crank up to see any more)
Win10
claymore 9.4 dual
ETH: 28.5 (mem 2040 about this number too)
Drc: 850
Temp running 68C (room is 28-30C)
system with another 2 GTX card on Skein

I have Asus Dual RX 480, 30.1MH/s Samsung. And 2x Strix 470 29mH/s Samsung and Elpida.
It all depends on memory brand what you have.

With Uber-Mix 3.1 timings. It was only ETH, but without any tweak on config. I'm mining Monero, I just tried ETH how it goes, it should be even higher with proper setup. You can find timings here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx5xx-rx4xx

RX 480 memory Samsung very attractive, but none of them was on sale. If the information will continue the production of no name cards or chips out removed of production?

It'll do well over 31 - I've got one of those with Samsung.

Not every card. I had RX 480 Asus Dual O8G it was crashing even with stock bios and clocks

A little new to mining so forgive my ignorance. If I want to install 6 of the RX 480 Strix 8GB GPUs what kind of power supply would I need? Would 1000w work fine for this? Also does anyone have any recommendations about the type of motherboard that might work best for this configuration and is relatively reasonable for cost?

Why your memory clock is not about 2200 ? It's more important for ethereum mining. I really wonder it.

No it's not! Performance timings like Uber-Mix give higher memory bandwith than higher memory clocks.

I'm not sure if I'm doing things right, but every time I tested swap 1750 timing to 2000 or used Ubermix 3.1 timing to 2000. After the restart of the PC, Windows gets 640x480 resolution and what I need to do is uninstall Crimson (running v 17.4.3) and install it again. After that I can rewrite to its orginal rom. Not get this to work at all, running it on a quite old motherboard, could it be the reason?

Have two ASUS ROG STRIX RX 480 8GB, running around 24MH/s stock each and both are Samsung memory

Why your memory clock is not about 2200 ? It's more important for ethereum mining. I really wonder it.

I dont really see any further increase in hashrate when I increase the memory beyond 2000. it does add  bit but fell like some stability issue so I just happy with it and let it run as it is.
still looking at ways to reduce the power and see if it can go at around 90W will be idea

I've the same GOU, mine is around 64-77 Celsius, fan between 33-51% and running them Auto. Do you open case or a "normal"? I'm running in a Corsair Cube 540 with 3x120mm fans in front and two 140mm top and one back. Keeps it quite and cool to runt stock or overclocked in Afterburn.

Well, GPU can handle like 100° but  not for 24/7! You need temp under 70° for long time or under 80° should be fine but not that safe.
Undervolting will help to lower temp.
Also you need other fans not just those on GPUs, I have 2x 20cm for suction and 4x 12cm for exhaust. I need inside more fans, the gpu in x16 slot and CPU with stock cooler make lot of heat and my old PC case have only 1x 80mm and 1x 92mm fans... I've attached 1x 12cm and it's much better now. But still need improvement.

Forgot to mention that i have not modified the bios yet, still running on default bios So after modifying bios will it bring down the GPU Temp?

Ethereum yes, temp at most 77 for a peak otherwise it keeps around 64-68C with max fan speed at 51% when it hits over 72C for those few short times. At the moment only Crimson but with Afterburn it is the same.

Currently not even undervolting but keeps a bit cooler it I does.
