Hey guys,

Has anyone had trouble with Bitalo? I set up an account several years ago and had a modest amount of BTC in two wallets, one primary, one passthrough. They changed their website around last year and I haven’t been able to move funds since. Initially I could log in but received error messages. After a frustratingly unproductive dialog with them I am no longer even able to log in, claiming my email does not exist.

Further discussions with their support have been unproductive, then they lose interest.

So, is bitalo incompetent or is it an elaborate scam?

Thanks

I would not be suprised (scam) since they came partly from bitmarket.eu scam some years ago....

did anyone make a proper research at all?

maciej trebacz is not part of bitalo at all, bitalo was founded by the people that were actually scamed by bitmarket,eu and had the highest losses there. This is why on bitalo we implemented user-side encrypted multi-signature wallets for the first time so that bitmarket.eu desaster cannot happen again.

the old site with the old user interface is on http://old.bitalo.com. Asking customer support instead of this forum might actually help :-)

Since bitcoins are user-side encrypted it is impossible to move the funds from the old site to the new site, so you need to log in yourself.

Just write to support@bitalo.com if you have any questions, but claiming it is a scam is pretty much ridiculous

mralbi, numerous attempts to contact support were made. Only terse replies that did not address the issues were received.

Logging in to the 'old' site now works and I have been able to move what was in the primary wallet. However, my passthrough wallet remains inaccessible. This stopped automatically passing through well over a year ago, as reported numerous times.

How can the passthrough wallets be accessed?

Reply from support, in full, when asked about accessing the now several thousand $ worth stuck in a passthrough wallet:

"it would require some development for.which we dont have resources at the moment"

How is that not a scam?
