Can anyone explain to me how exactly this works? I understand that the Points tokens are used in loyalty programs, but how is this a universal solution? Are customers given these tokens as a reward or are these tokens used to buy in the same way as vouchers?

Hi no, so as a consumer, you will probably never see POINTS tokens. The POINTS blockchain works like a contract issuance platform. You create contracts, for example a loyalty contract that says the companies loyalty points are redeemable for Y products, with X expiry date, etc. The blockchain can execute this LEGAL contract. What it does is it executes it (evaluates the contracts clauses or terms and conditions) and based on the results can perform operations.

If Solidity is general purpose language, the POINTS execution language is a specific type of query/reasoner language that evaluates the contract and performs other operations.

In addition, the POINTS blockchain has methods for redeeming lost POINTS tokens and a universal protocol for communicating with Oracles.

So the blockchain can be used for issuing any simple legal contract, not just loyalty schemes but any financial instrument and other simple commercial contracts like car warranties.

However, all the Contract templates we are building as a company and all the UI's we are building are for the loyalty industry. This is what the industry needs to compete with companies like Amex, which are becoming the universal protocol for the loyalty industry.

If this doesn't make sense please ask what parts need to be clarified, I want people to understand why this is such an amazing project. In our opinion Ethereum is too general for what we need it to do, and BTC isn't meant to be an issuance platform. This solves our needs for a platform to tie in to our loyalty system.   

So apart from companies like is the AMEX the POINTS could be used as a contract of a normal customer with an insurance company. That includes the home, health and car insurance industry. Is that right? So good customers for example in car insurance who do not often cause accidents will have more benefits than others. Maybe it is and an alternative way of reward.

A project like this doesn't always depends on a Campaign , it needs more aspects to be taken .
Requiring more advertisement and advertisers in social media doesn't mean you will get a much investor who will be part of your ICO. There are many things to consider especially in the application or use of this project in the future that the investor will be attracted and willing to support . The success of this ICO will be the best projects made not in the campaign .

From what my understanding with Chain of Points ICO is they are launching an altcoin which is named POINTS which will function as a reward system to the consumers who buy to them. The question is what rewards will the consumer get from collecting POINTS? Because I am still on the verge of finding out.

Yahoo has just said that the campaign is paused after the first payment some time ago. Probably they need to think or evaluate the way they want to advertise the project to be more effective.

I agree that we need to add more campaign so that we encourage many investors in or out in this Bitcointalk forum. I agree that we need to add more campaign so that we encourage many investors in or out in this Bitcointalk forum. But there's no assurance that we get many investors regarding in this idea, What if this idea will be successful to invite more investor to invest in Chain of points? Not really, more campaign and promotion will not attract investors .because if the projects of this altcoin is to good to be true and have a good possibilities to attract the market it will be successful , what i conclude is regardless how many investors will be if the project is loss and there are no support from the the dev it will only end in a disappointment .The continous projects along its road and the adoptation of a company who will be the base will have a big chance like ethereum altcoins before.

I think its not a problem Not all are the same way of marketing methods it will be still depends how you are actually spreading the announcement or news about this altcoin and how you can get large number of visitors. more impressions.. not only here in forum i think entire internet.. if you have referral system i think they can get referral by other country..

They might have not planned to increase popularity through signature campaign. At the final stage they might have decided for a signature campaign. This seems to be the cause for the lack of funding.

A fair one, currently it's running and will be vary from time to time.

We will see the success of this ICO not in just a matter of short period of time but for a long period especially after the ICO. Funds raised at the moment is relatively small but like I said, it's currently running and stats will changed here and then. No minimum or exact amount to be considered.
