What will the price of Dogecoin be by the year 2020?

I've been collecting a shit ton of Dogecoin from faucets and I was wondering if any of you guys might have some insights on the future value of this altcoin. I don't want to exchange it because of a potential increase in the value and I really like the meaning behind the altcoin.

Some speculate the coin will die out but I don't think this will happen, I hope this won't happen . As long as the coin is in circulation I don't think it will die out. The price could drop if demand decreases but I believe if more people embrace the coin and more online stores begin to accept the coin as a form of payment then the price should start to rise because of an increase in demand.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this topic. Thanks guys

Even i am collecting doge coins like you, i have seen may articles about doge that the price of doge will increase. At one stage doge is nearly 46 sats and now it is in 24 sats. Price variation will happen to every crypto but may be the doge coin price will increase.

I hope so too ipanks, I remember doge was 300 satoshi when it was launched and now its trading at 22 satoshi. Thats a 99% reduction in the price since the early days of the altcoin. I'll be happy if the price could reach 35 satoshi before the end of this year. But with the limited supply which INRI666 made me aware of I don't know if this would be possible. So in actual fact I don't think the coin has infinite supply in the real world. It does however have infinite supply based on the algorithm (hope you understand what I'm trying to say). If the miners eventually decide to stop mining the altcoin then that means the supply of dogecoin will be impacted and might even stop but then there will still be dogecoin in circulation.

Because of this dogecoins becomes scarce and as a result price gets affected positively because more people might start to deem the coin more valuable because of the limited supply that exist at that moment in time. So I think I might be going crazy or I think the price of dogecoin will eventually increase when this happens.

I think the supply of the coin will get tested in the future when the reward miners receive doesn't justify the effort they put into mining the coin and when this happens the supply will be affected and the price might get affected as well. When this happens I want to make sure of one thing, I want to make sure I have a shit load of dogecoin in my wallet

It is difficult for a cryptocurrency to keep up with a high marketcap when there are no improvements capable of attracting a large portion of BTC users, such as the anonymity present in Monero, or the ability to develop projects on top of smart-contract platforms. In my opinion, I don't think Dogecoin will survive that long. The Project is already at a stand still and It has now become a traditional gambling coin... No more no less. Sooner or later, It'll be replaced by new innovative Cryptocurrencies. I'm not entirely sure though. We'll just have to wait, 2020 is just three years ahead.

I also had lot of dogecoins collected from faucets. I kept it on my wallet for long, but finally I decided to exchange it to bitcoin. I don't have dreams that doge price can reach moon. I remember that not long time doge was one of the top coins on Coinmarketcap, now it's only 17th. But I don't think that dogecoin can die. It still have many users, stable price.
I think some problems of dogecoin is that coin was created for a Doge meme, but meme was popular short time. Dogecoin transactions is very cheap and fast, but I think coin supply is too big.

Actually it seems more likely to see a gradual devaluation in this altcoin that could lead it from the current price to a couple of satoshis. We can see in all graphs this gradual and consistent decrease, and I don't know how this trend could change since this altcoin is very irrelevant and don't provide any special feature in the altcoin world.

i admit that i have also seen so many adoption cases for Dogecoin and real shops that are accepting Doge for their goods but you shouldn't only look at the exteriors from outside. you should see how many people are actually using them. they may have only 1 customer in every 2 months for all we know!

I am starting to agree with everyone who says that dogecoin is dead or is moving in that direction. This thread has really taught me something about doge and its future. Its still a nice coin to have especially if you can get it for free but not to invest your money into it. I'll continue to support the coin in anyway possible. That may be realistic price for DOGE. I used to invest in this coin few years back when it was easy to predict jumps, at one point it was almost 200 satoshi but dont think he will go that again. Possibility is to go on 120, but would be huge success for doge, it should be double current price at the moment.

I think by the year 2020 one doge will be valued $5 at least. That is the year till then almost all developers have aim to get the blockchain to mainstream and fully adoptable and prepared to replace the current financial system. We will see Doge among important coins continuously.

Dogecoin doesn't have any technical capabilities that would give it value. It was made as a joke and the only ones that will earn money on it in the long term is traders. This isn't the coin you buy to hold forever, this is the coin you buy for a single use (mostly tipping), or for a short term trade. By 2020 it will be back down to sub 30 satoshis.

Doge marketcap reached 415 million us $ today and 189 satoshi was hit a few days ago. luckily i hold 1 million dogecoins

You are really lucky. Few months ago I sold majority of my Dogecoins for 58 satoshi price and it was looking as a good deal.
How far Dogecoin can rise? Maybe reach 300 satodhi, but I can't expect more, because it's already rised much more than majority of us expected. But my predictions are often wrong :/

Do you actually realize that the market cap of it would have to be like 10 billion if not more? Who would actually put their money into this joke currency? First of all, it doesn't have any market cap and can be mined endlessly what means that there are good chances of huge inflation, secondly, it was created just as a joke so I wouldn't put too much hope into it, the best case scenario of it would be reaching 2 penny per coin. The price of it is going up right now just because everything goes up, get over it when the bubble pops it will go down to being worth near to nothing.

Hopes dies last as always. There were also that kind of talk back in 2014 and 2015 when price also rise and fall all the time. But to be realistic dont think DOGE will come to 200 satoshi like it was back then it will take much more time do be like that. Im not saying it wont happen we saw that even for LTC they didnt believe it will be possible so only remain to be seen in DOGE has this in it.

I would say MoonDoge.co.in and FreeDoge.co.in These are the 2 faucets I've been using for years now and have claimed over 500k Doge from them both. I miss the days when I was able to claim around 200 Doge a day from MoonDoge lol and was earning around 1500 Doge coins a week from MoonDoge and also around 1k Doge a week from FreeDoge. Those days are over but I still claim from them as they are the best in my opinion and have never missed a payment.

No idea why he left. Maybe he tought there wasn't any need for him to work on Doge anymore. It's merged mind with Litecoin these days because lack of miner support. Most of the BCT forumites have already considered it dead.

definitely 0.01 us $ \ doge is really possible these days. for higher we'll see if the trend for all cryptos goes up . in the future i see cryptos aside with fiat and lots of credit\debit cards linked to BTC and other altcoins. a lot of money hs been investedin cryptos already. fiat currencies trade trillions of $ everyday on forex and btc and altcoins "only" 70-80 billions $ , so there s definitely room for improvement up.
if by going to the supermarket you will see QR code scanners to pay with btc and others including Doges then the value could get really big, 1 $ wouldnt be a joke anymore

And in the market now, I see most pumps are focused on the top coin and the coin has a lot of potential, there are very few pumps focused on dogecoin. I would diversify/divest out at this market cap and go into coins like Bitbay, VIA, Blackcoin, and Pascal. All low market cap. All trade on major exchanges. All have active development, and interesting features.

You are right. DOGE is just a copycat of LTC, and LTC is just a copycat of BTC.

Most of this interest are based on speculation. Reason is simple if bitcoin goes up with price then all alts should follow it in price this would be appropriate for all alts cuz this will make price increase for them, i mean on all of them.

You have the unlimited supply to blame for that. The only thing saving it is the Litecoin merge mine. If it wasn't for that they would be 51% attacked and taken over.

because they made dogecoin as a joke and for fun. it is not meant to make money or appreciate in value thus unlimited supply FOREVER! i wouldnt waste time on this coin if you are interested in making money. the real opportunities are in other altcoins with great team and innovative ideas. there are so many shitcoins that will die off eventually. dogecoin is still alive bc of its sentimental values. the mere fact that so many ppl own hundreds of millions even billions of doge will deter it from price increase. it will always be the pump and dump coin that will never go beyond one cent. if it does it ill go right back down bc billion coin owners will sell right away. then we go back to square one and repeat the same thing over and over bc of its unlimited supply.

I have been collecting Dogecoin for more than a year and I am a very big fan of Dogecoin. I firmly believe it is a very undervalued coin. For the past six months, the price of a lot of cryptocurrencies have been increasing so have dogecoin. I think Dogecoin price would be around $1 at the end of 2018 and it would be worth several dollars in 2020.

I think it will always have its place in the crypto market. Even though there is no more development in dogecoin, there is still a big fan base who continues to support the coin. It has some nice characteristics (fast transactions, very low fees), which is useful for the online gambling industry.
