I never done that before. Because i always double checked the address before i send the bitcoin. When you send it to a wrong person you will not recover it.

Have you ever accidentally send Bitcoin to the wrong person?  Or sent the wrong amount?

I did.  Like a fool.  Last night I was playing around with it and falling asleep at the same time.

I tried to upload 17 bitcoins to Mt.Gox... but I went to my addressbook and saw one unlabeled address.  Thinking, oh that must be the new address just created, I'll use that one...  I sent it to that address.   Of course, instantly I remembered that it creates new addressed when RECEIVING money, not when sending it.  Duhhh.   I went back to Mt.Gox and it just has a box to enter the amount.  Only AFTER you submit that, then it tells you the address to send it to.

Oh well.   One of my contacts received a surprise of 17 BTN last night.  Paying it forward.

What would I do if it had been 170,000 BTN....?       Smiley

I might not be so happy letting it go then....

PS - Is the proper abbreviation BTN or BTC or BCN?   I can never remember.
until now it has never happened to me, maybe it is your bad experience in investment, with bad experience is of course in the future you will be more vigilant and more thoroughly again in doing everything

That's a bunch of crap. How could you find that person by only using his tx id? Stop making lies. But this kind of mistake won't ever happen to me because I'm always keen when money is involved in it.

that was huge. and that was so bad even if you are  full time traders you also need to sleep dont push yourself with the unlimit. however you can contact support maybe they can do something.. you must have a backup address book in your computer so you dont need  to copy paste in the web. more safer but a little bit more effort but very effective

Thanks God it never happened to me as well, I am an old user of bitcoin so I never show carelessness about bitcoin sending and receiving, bitcoin is really an expensive currency so it is not good to show carelessness about it, if you will use it at right time and for right purpose then you will never face this situation.

luckily i havent.
That is the basic thing that you must check before sending any transactions! always double check the address of the receiver.
when you paste what you copied, make sure it is same with the address you copied. that is my tips, hope it helps.

Thanks God, no! I haven't had such experience and hope that I will never have it!) To my mind, this is not a good idea to send bitcoins to someone you don't know well as it is very risky. I prefer the trusted people

I was almost about to send it to the wrong address/person. Since the amount was pretty large I had a mini-heart attack. What can I say? I lived to tell the tale.  Luckily I saw what I was about to do in the nick of time. Phewww!!

No I don't think I have
It's not going to be a very good event if I mistakenly send btc to a wrong wallet in this hard time. Not to even talk of btc alone, what of some valuable token really trading hard on some  exchanges, I  don't pray I mistakenly send them to a wrong wallet for whatever the case maybe.

This is the thing that i should be careful off. Well, i did not accidentally send Bitcoin to the wrong person. I am miticulous in terms of sending Bitcoin to others. As Bitcoin holder, we should put our Bitcoin in it best security and we should be careful at all times.

A wise man I hear learns from what experience people had either by being a withness to it occurrence or by reading about it. I have read and understood that once a coin is wrongly sent, it can't be recovered. So I try to be careful because it is really be a bad circumstance.

Is that even possible? i doubt it, i can maybe strike the wrong digit or an extra zero but entering the wrong address is a no no for me. I pray i  get to experience neither of them.

Don't even assume you can't make such mistake or be such a fool. Btc could be mistaken for bch or any of btc fork.
