Can we have a bitcoin day?

I imagine a big festival in every capital city that adopt Bitcoin, filled with music concerts of famous bands, door prizes & all items offered there using bitcoin payments. It would be very nice if Bitcoin users gathered in the same place.

At least we should really intend to do so, because with "bitcoin day", will attract many people to know more about bitcoin.

I think it's in the right order to have a Bitcoin day and celebrate it but should it be a different day for all the different countries of the world or a common day like Xmas for all? It should be debated and approved because that's one way we can get to promote Bitcoin worldwide.

I like the idea of OP, but then like other posted here why having a bitcoin day since the fiat does not have their own day, like fiat day.
But then it comes to my mind that, not only celebrating bitcoin day but promoting to it to the public, this might be world news if ever the event will come true, by then, people will be curious about his and chance to try the bitcoin on their own. Maybe all we need now is someone who will gonna initiate to start this one, but for sure there will be countries that will gonna bash it out, since they banned bitcoin transaction in their country.
But I look forward to this event one day.

Why should we follow the fiat?I think the reason we do not have fiat day is because fiat needs no promotion.
 

i accept bitcoin is popular but not to much. mostly people don't know about it. so maybe it should not be happen anyways. everyday is a bitcoin day for us we earn we invest gain profit  

Yes bitcoin is not much popular and that is the reason we must have a bitcoin day.
Commemorative days are celebrated to remind people of the importance of the thing of which day is celebrated for.

Yes you have said the right statement. when we have toilet so we should have our bitcoin day also. and i agree that bitcoin is not much popular so having a bitcoin day will make it possible to awareness about the coin and we bitcoiners could celebrate the day in swing.

well, it is a good idea, but I wonder how would people celebrate it? like a birthday party, a year eve or such thing? or we will make it be fantastic like selling goods for bitcoin, or the other thing?

but if we make such day, the question is where should be the place to meet the community? I mean some of us are from different countries. so I think it will not run well.

yes I also like a bitcoin day in the whole year but as we do not know that who is satoshi and as he is not going to show his identity who is important to suggest the day so I think this community have to decide that which day is the best day for to be the bitcoin day. We have to start a poll for the selection of the bitcoin day and after getting the votes from all the members we will see the best day for the bitcoin day celebration.

Yes we like a bitcoin day listed in that list. But how will we know that which is the day of bitcoin. If it possible to find the invention day of the bitcoin? if yes then that day will be better to be a bitcoin day. Its really a nice idea. The world bitcoin day. Really there should be a day like that. So that it will become more popular among the people. More and more will come to know about its advantages and more people will start using bitcoins. Your imaginations are very good and I think it is only possible when government officials want this or united nation announce it. It will not be possible I think if a company or the organizers of any currency wants this so I think it  depend upon the popularity of bitcoin itself. Hopefully we can assume that we are going to have one very soon probably once bitcoin hits main stream of adoption.

all I care is about future updates on bitcoin and its uses but if people insist of having a bitcoin day then I hope many people will think of a good activity that can help bitcoin market or an activity that promotes good usage of bitcoin so that people who doesnt know what bitcoin is will be encourage to use it in a good way.

I would be great to have a bitcoin or cryptocurrency day but to be honest we don't deserve it yet IMO. We need a great user base as compared to that of fiat and something concrete activity or event such as government's legal status to cryptocurrencies. Such things really matters (see commerce graph on valentine day) so in the long run, it is really beneficial.

I have never think about this. Well, this is a great idea. People in the whole world should know what is bitcoin, who is created bitcoin, and when bitcoin is created.
Peoples nowadays just ready to use something and don't care about everything behind it.

there is no limit in the search for bitcoin. even you can get more than one bitcoin in 1 day. but, the greater the income you're the target, the greater the risk, especially if you want to do it in one day. Well, the way can you take, just gambling, and trading, and it is a risky way.

I think this is a brilliant idea to promote Bitcoin. Why did no one think of this before I wonder. So which day and month shall we choose to set it. Also what shall be the name of the day. We need to make sure it's easy and attractive. Then I believe we need to make a signature campaign or kind-of petition to the sites that promotes change and support such things to get it to the attention of the world. Or how about we somehow get Google to draw a Bitcoin doodle that would just be the perfect platform we could use it to mark it as the start of Bitcoin day. But we really need a lot of support from every member of the community to make this a reality.

Bitcoin day maybe have a little impact for bitcoiners as it doesn't really matter, except for an information about bitcoin in the past.
I guess bitcoin day should be the day when the first time it launched to online network. But, how we celebrate it to attract more adopters, as long as local news in every country do not preach about it, we can't expect it would be great.

Yeah and the day can be as little as in forum that day each member gets a surprise gift like getting a bitcoin band, buttons stickers, etc.

And while it can be as big as Valentine's day where each of us gives some bitcoins to our loved ones or something like that.

A good idea if we have Bitcoin day, every years we celebrate the Bitcoin day e.g merchant that accepts payment with Bitcoin will give discount or there will be a conference about Bitcoin, organized in more than 10 countries to introduce bitcoin and technology of bitcoin, or Bitcoin community chance their Social Media profile with Bitcoin avatar

I think day can be decided easily but the problem in this is that people want to be private and if a day is celebrated it requires mass participation in real life which is almost impossible since people don't want to reveal their identity.
