Nevertheless this kind of event is not really needed but it can be proclaim, I think it is not really needed right now the birth of bitcoin to be known by all in the world because not all people knows about this stuff so why bother just like every ordinary persons birthday not all has known it only a few people some personally known by you are the only ones that are enjoying in celebrating your birthday, but the time would come if bitcoin can really become a well known currency or asset who knows? |

The answer is yes, it is a very necessary thing for all of us who use and love bitcoin. We have so many holidays in a year, and everything comes from history, so we can choose a historical event of bitcoin which is very important to bitcoin, it will be Day of bitcoin. I suppose, the day that the bitcoin was born was a special day, and it should be chosen as the bitcoin date. Very easy, any ideas are good, but it needs everyone's consent.

You do not need Satoshi to come forward to create a bitcoin day, if the core team comes up with a date and if they could come up with the date when the software is released or when the white paper is released ,those are the important dates when it comes to bitcoin,make a decision and declare that date,it is a simple process,Jesus might not be born on 25th December but they come up with a date and we are celebrating Christmas on that date,it is as simple as that.  |

It will be a pretty idea to have a Bitcoin day globally this will create awareness in the society and make people to know more about this currency.
And it will help to advertise bitcoin publicly and for sure if this will be implemented, people will be more eager to earn bitcoin, and public will try to search on what is bitcoin and start to be curious on how it works and will try to earn it. Yes i hope we have bitcoin day because it gives other people to know what is bitcoin if those people know bitcoin and invest money the bitcoin price increase and thats good to us. That is a nice idea! I've never thought about that, it would be great to have a Bitcoin day. But, what day would that even be? It probably wont happen though, the community is not so large for that to happen and I don't know if anyone new would come because of that.

That is not a valid point.I have come to know about various causes,things etc because there days are celebrated.I didn;t know about Valentines Day until I learnt it from TV shows that on 14th Feb Valentines day is celebrated and then I searched about it.If people are told that on xyz day is a bitcoin day,they will get curious and try and learn about it |

IT is a good idea to have a bitcoin day this will give rise to sensitization of people about bitcoin, this gonna bring more awareness about bitcoins and most especially in third world countries where there is little or no information about bitcoin and obviously internet is the best tool to create this awareness.

i dont know if this is a good idea...dont you think having this day some how contradicts with the basic principles of cryptocurrencies like anonymity, besides we already have the bitcoin pizza day which a very few of us commemorate.....what difference will this day have?

Yes, I agree with you, By the way i think this day will be amazing day for bitcoin community, and i think we can make some rules in this day for people who have bitcoin. I mean 24 hours we can only use our bitcoin to buy what we need in this day. we can't buy with our real money. I think that day we will not go to school as you said, It's really a good idea. lol |

This day will not be only about buying pizza or having pizza , it will be all about bitcoin , having promos or freebies on different investing or gambling sites ,and will be known in every country. Bitcoin pizza day is not supported yet because there is no way yet to purchase goods or pizza in some countries . There is still a need to cash it out ,convert in that fiat to be able to join on that day. Hoping to have bitcoin day when every country is on for purchasing goods or shippings with bitcoin. |
