Can we have a bitcoin day?

i dont know if this is a good idea...dont you think having this day some how contradicts with the  basic principles of cryptocurrencies like anonymity, besides we already have the bitcoin pizza day which a very few of us commemorate.....what difference will this day have?

I consider this as a good idea, this will add the awareness of people about bitcoin. That it is not something to be ignored and it has to be something that they should recognize and it is for real. Adding the word bitcoin to that day will make it raise that it is a real thing that people are celebrating but I don't know if government will recognize it.

Believe me, I really impress with your idea, and i like it that we should celebrate a day of bitcoin. The day will call "Bitcoin Day", and in this way people know about the bitcoin, because i see mostly people have no knowledge about bitcoin.

Ofcourse we should have the bitcoin​ day and also celebrate it with happiness and why not because it is a part of our life that we can't forget to have .
But here it is something complicated to celebrate in the whole world , the question is that for what for those countries who banned bitcoin .Here also I think bitcoin needed to much improve Because currently the bitcoin have problem of legality and confirmation of payment ( take time to confirm more than what we expect)

Just like the way other Days are promoted.Market forces will find ways to exploit it.We need nothing much to do it.Just declare some day as Bitcoin Day and rest will follow

The answers are clear in my mind as the day of bitcoin will be celebrated the day on which the first transaction was created due to which it was presented to world and on that day we will have an event on any big place so people will be collected to that place to celebrate it. It may answer your question.

it is a unique concept and it will be pretty helpful for it. we have not seen any dollar or euro day or any other day of any other currency. if their officials do so,it will help in its popularity and bitcoin will be known by all over the world through this concept and people will start searching for it as well and it is really helpful.

The idea is not bad, but still many people do not trust bitcoin and as yet there is no possibility in all countries to pay in stores with the help of this currency. It's too early to think about such an event.

That's a great idea, but I suggest to have a crypto currency day instead of only bitcoin day. Because if crypto currency wins, bitcoin wins automatically. It will help us to draw more attention towards bitcoin and probably will see more inflow of investment towards bitcoin.

True. When we will have a day like that, the foundation and the people that is working behide it must be solid, mother's day, father's day or any other things that has a day achieved that special day because of the importance and the unwavering support and its importance to people.

This definitely is a good idea but who will organise it. as bitcoin has a decentralised system, then who will decide the day for all. And still the reach of bitcoin is limited. So, i think we should wait for bitcoin to be more popular.

Like Christmas day or New year's day, we the users have the choice if we will celebrate or not. I think we don't need someone who will organize, it will comes down to every individual who are using Bitcoin.

This is definitely good idea that will make more people using Bitcoin. More people will be getting coins and thus Bitcoin price will increase. There are 21 million coins but they are divisible for 100,000,000 satoshis, so it will be enough to handle payment system of few nation's in the world. It's impossible for 100% people to use Bitcoin but maybe we reach at least 10%.

Well I must agree to that and this is great and interesting, but there is no such fully adoption about the currency today. The date of bitcoin first establish and why would bitcoin could have the date of success? It was all our personal experience that bitcoin brings success to us if we use it in a better options of investments. But I believe even if other currencies doesn't have one Bitcoin it's very special and people wanted it to put so much attention towards promoting it in, order to educate Bitcoin and could generate good results which createdls sympathy of other people which are not still engaged into bitcoin financial system.

Yahh, I also agree with the thought or the idea. Because it uses the event or the day will provide input or purpose. Moreover, the event is always done in a way that is remarkable. But indeed it must prepare with mature and assisted by most of the users of the bitcoin, if not then those ideas may be just as with another idea. Bitcoin knowledge should instill in, but everything takes time to walk

Probably, NOT in the coming years at least, unless you announce it from a non-significant country like that island with no citizens taking BTC), if you want a real country or even better a global day that would only happen when BTC has done some achievement in financial world and highly adopted.

We can make a self-proclaimed worldwide BTC day, there is nothing against it I guess, The issue will be nobody caring, knowing about it... to make it an official one I guess you would need to contact multiple organization arranging these things and follow that with a strong media campaign about BTC day, too expensive for anyone except a company bitpay or coinbase level.
