I was just thinking if this security in bitcoin doesn't get approval tomorrow or by monday, will the usa blame russia for some odd reason and start a world war III over bitcoin?
Could this be possible?
It would be a scary thing to consider if it would happen because it is a hot currency that Russia was looking to ban and now China are having their exchange problems so this not going thru could be the last straw with the one of the three largest powerful nations in the world.

Freedoms we take for granted today, were hard won privileges by our grandfathers.

I will not say that large scale outer space human habitation will not be theoretically possible in the distant future. But the expenses associated with it will prevent individuals and corporations from doing that.

You make some good points, but more should be said.

Indeed, enough resources are prerequisite of peace - if youve got like minded people. It was not starvation that started civil war in US and countries such as Russia had very turbulent histories despite the fact, that they span vast areas. Proper resource management makes standing social order stronger, but it wont amend differences among societies that have different ideologies. It is in human nature to consider evil those, who have contrarian values.

The fact, that most westerners dont feel effects of wars that concern them is not progress, it is quite peculiar trend it will be one day over. 18th century european warfare also saw limited conflicts, that for the most part left civilian population alone. Since elites which waged those wars had common conduct and values.

Not long before that, ancestors of the same people were ethnically cleansing each other in thirty years war and not long after they were cleansing each other again for minor differences in nationality and race. Same was before experiend by ancient world and also middle East.

So, no, we dont live in utopia, but bubble, that will one day burst. As it did so many times before.

It is not possible to win a war in 2 hours. So the first strike doesn't automatically guarantee you a victory in the nuclear war. Both Russia and the United States are huge countries and it is not possible to destroy all of their nuclear weapons in one go.

There is only one factor that limits space exploration and that is the energy needed for propulsant.

Once an adequate energy source is found that allows practically unlimited use of energy then there is no major limiting factor. Asteroids are often loaded with iron. If you have unlimited energy you can land a mill on a large asteroid and build hundreds of millions of tons of spaceships.
