Stamp hacked coins have been on the move recently.

https://blockchain.info/address/1L2JsXHPMYuAa9ugvHGLwkdstCPUDemNCf

19.000 coins being dumped can easily help this mess...

nevertheless stamp had to buy the exact same amount somewhere

Says who? Stamp owners surely have enough reserves in their private stash in case of massive withdrawal, which obviously is not happening. If they know something about trading, and as exchange owners they do, they can always slowly buy on the way back from $1xx coins when we get to that point. Remember, they are in no hurry.

Bears are fucking ruthless creatures aren't they?

why?
it's not bears who dump now
those are bulls that bought cheap coins at 700,600,500,400,300,250

Yea it could be longs closing their position... Best not to use margin in such a volatile market.   Real bulls never sell. Ever.

just like bears. they never buy. ever.

Reports that certain exchanges (unfair to name any at this point) are now "suspending" withdrawls.

i think it's time to remove your signature:

"Academic interest in bitcoin only. Not owner, not trader, very skeptical of its longterm success."

would be better if you put :

"I keep trolling and try to get some BTC Smiley"

of course i'm not serious i never want to debate with other peoples for what they believe etc everyone is free to believe whatever he wants....
but i just visited your posts and buddy you give me this impression....

I am dead serious with my signature.  When I first heard of bitcoin through twitter (not much before Nov/2013), it was claimed to be a fabulous investiment.  My reaction then was "sounds too good to be true".  The more that I learned about it, the more skeptical I became. I have no intention of investing in it or in any other crypto, and I advise against it.

If people want to gamble their money on it (by day-trading or longer term holding), it is their right -- as long as they don't try to misrepresent it to folks who cannot understand the technical limitations, the economics, and the risks.

ChartBuddy, now that you're full grown & a hero member, time for you to earn your keep with some sleazy sig campaign.

I have had a query about that. I haven't had chance to look into the company though so I won't comment about how salubrious they are. I also considered soliciting some sponsorship back when I was paying for the hosting but now it's all offloaded onto imgur, it's not such an issue anyway. (And as it turned out, a good portion of my costs were for storing the stupid log files generated)

I had trouble withdrawing my balance 12h ago in stamp... and 4 hours ago i heard about a friend of a friend having problems also.
I think that lot of people are withdrawing their coins, and with multi-sig security, it's not instant for them to fill the hot wallet.

If you have a ripple account, and are too worried, you can buy ripples and send them to your account. That worked for me today

Why aren't the mods banning all the trolls?? It's because of them that the price keeps crashing!
The word is 'heathens'.
MAT 24:11 "And many false prophets, like Satoshi, Andreesen, Sielbert, Ver, and Antonopoulos, will appear and will deceive many people."
Jorge, you disappoint me. Don't you have a cushy university job? What's with the Schadenfreude?

Well, maybe one year of insults has eroded some of what was left of my Christian upbringing.

But mainly I do not like scammers and sleazy people who lie to take other people's money.  Perhaps because I am rather easy to fool myself.  And I have never seen a community so packed with crooks and criminals as the bitcoin community.  Politicians, judges, cops, bankers, even professors -- there is plenty of corruption among them, but nowhere near as much as among the bitcoiners.

People, don't listen to them! Just hold tight.. this price drop will be nothing when the next rally happens and we're over $10,000!

Banning people you don't agree with doesn't sound very Christ like to me...

Unless you're Scottish, in which case it does, but involves lighter fluid.
