Calm down, guys. This is just the beginning of a multi-months bitcoin price appreciation. Use pull backs to open fresh longs with comfortable level of leverage.

I'm afraid of leverage, and I think that I can make a sufficiently amount of money merely by using what I have already invested..

Selling as it goes up and continuing to buy (with the sales proceeds) on the dips.

But I agree with you that it is going to become more likely that we are going to be going up, even if there are going to be some corrections too, possibly.

I'm not usually worried about myself/those I care about getting murdered or raped, so good 'nuff for me.
But sure, it's possible to get crime rates down, though this typically involves more $ on policing &/or laxer policing standards. This does happen when crime rates become unacceptably high (think "stop & frisk," airport body searches, etc.), so careful what you wish for Smiley

Despite all the regulations and penalties during the Prohibition, alcohol was still easily obtainable. Despite all the dollars spent policing illegal substances, they are still easily obtainable. How do you suppose cryptos can be banned, regulated and policed so that they are sufficiently difficult to obtain as to deter an extortionist? The law and even the state has limits, and your proposal is not going to work nearly good enough.

Governments should ask themselves the question whether they want cryptocurrency to be underground or not. Whether or not you regulate / ban something people want or need, they will get it. The banning will only result in increased crime, loss of tax revenue, losing grip on KYC/AML, specific technical adaptions, missing the long due financial evolution train, etc.

Looks like some developed countries are actually making the above consideration. Maybe they actually do learn from the past?

Unfortunately, most of them can't understand yet that it is not possible to regulate bitcoin. If it is somehow possible, this 'regulation' will have nothing in common with the way legacy finance/banking system is regulated. Money will be separated from state. This separation won't be less violent than separation of state from church 5-6 centuries ago.

JJG broke even. Finally. Huzzah! Smiley

You are misdescribing circumstances, and maybe you should give some of your own details.. because something seems missing from your comment..- even in a kind of patronizing respect.

In fact, at this time and this week, BTC is currently way too volatile (too much price action) for anyone to be "breaking even" in any kind of exact manner .. especially, not someone anywhere near my situation  - whether we are talking strictly about BTC holdings, or some other combination of funds that are being traded.

Now you are emulating dumbaztec.... and where did he go?

Go on BMB... give us some of your BTC buying/selling details?  do you own any BTC.. maybe .73BTC?  Do you own any alts, maybe a little ETH,... go on tell us?  have you been buying or selling cryptos or PMs in recent months?

or are you like Stolfi, merely, participating herein for academic purposes..?.   something happened to Stolfi, too?   Cry Cry

Seems many of our bear troll shill fiends are disappearing, but I am sure that several of them will be back for our next correction in the $600s or maybe when we coming down into the $500s..

I got a giant sweaty wodge of coins from dealing in some pretty shady things on the darkweb. It's a sinister past and I'm not particularly proud of it. But I'm reformed. Smiley

Immoral or illegal?

Hm?

there are lots of different things, and details can make a difference in terms of what you are referring to and to the extent that you are not merely just making things up from the safe confines of your mommie's basement

Do you still want that order of Scopolamine? Or what?

I find no need to make shit up, or to play along with a kind of hypothetical that does not seem to apply to either of us.  I was not seeking to purchase anything, and you are not in any kind of internet business, at least nothing like that which you are referring... you seem to be living in a fantasy, rather than talking about some kind of actual personal experience(s).

So, snap out of it.    Roll Eyes  Tongue

You haven't come to terms with your sins. That's fine. You play the blind man all you want, but me, my eyes are wide open. I don't feel the need to spill out all over the place like you do; indiscretion is bad for business. You didn't tell me what you wanted it for and I didn't ask. But if you insist on sharing all your personal experiences with the class, by all means. My conscience is clean in this.

Very strong spam attack started against the network but faltered just in about 10 minutes. Bitcoin is getting stronger every day now. Thank you, Core devs!

yeah, looks like 500 is baking in nicely .... I wouldn't be hanging around to wait for too much pullback, the spring was coiled so tight it could make some fast, big jumps anytime.

Hi, here my bitcoin price comparison after "bubble-260" and "bubble-1200":

The first chart is the start of race to 1200. The second one - our current situation. Seems similar, isn't it? I think we have no reason to go down like it was on silkroad arrest. We have additional factors, like Ethereum and halving, but I keep optimistic about autumn.

Shiiiiiit son, this is a nice price to wake up to. I really hope this keeps going, I need to see 500 again just for psychological means.

I noticed that the price was on a small linear rise these past few days, then it just popped up.  The only thing I can find as to what it might be is this: "CFTC Grants Full Registration to Bitcoin Swaps Trading Platform"  -- Coindesk.... or is it just the "pre-halving"?

What's the prevailing wind out there say?

There are some technical reasons, because there was a fakeout, and we've broken through resistance.

It was just time.

The time has come.

Bitcoin prices have been pushed into a bear market from 2014 through most of 2015 (about august).. then the tide had turned, with multiple unsuccessful attempts to push the price down, the bears are running out of coins... .. so something has got to give.. and the only way left to give is up... So here we go baby, fueled in part  by FOMO (and unspent gas) Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks, gents.

And enjoy this ride.
