There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Like the recent news out of China wasn't enough, the highest profile Bitcoin exchange is making a huge fool out of itself out on the world stage. The headlines are gonna go to town with this. Oh and we've just entered the dreaded weekend.
Which makes me think this sell-off was... less than organic. |

Bitcoin is such a wonderful thing. If it goes up, it makes you happy because you see your wealth growing by the minute. If it goes down, it makes you happy because you can buy more of it. Probably the best thing in the world  True. I get great entertainment watching the charts. Maybe that's another intrinsic value. |
