Wish I could feel happy about the ATH. Dad died. Police came to tell me they found him in his apartment after residents called in because of a smell. Happened while I was on vacation in Italy. I really don't know what to feel, just keeping myself distracted.

Really puts things in perspective, you never know how long you have and if you want to leave a mark don't put it off because time flies and death waits for no man.

It's a tough thing. Just don't feel guilty about however you feel. We all handle things differently.

I lost my dad when I was thousands of miles away, in another country. My mum and relatives were next to him throughout his decline. No one told me about it, until it was too late -- his request, so it would not affect me. He was gone in a few months due to cancer. Being close to your loved ones and having the chance to say goodbye is so very important. We should always try to keep in touch with our parents and be kind to them, and close to them, no matter what has happened in our lives and how distant we may have become.

I always tear up when listening to this song. What I would give today to spend a day with my dad...
