I haven't felt like this since I saw bitcoin go up $5 during the second great growth spurt and my 5 year old tells me "bulls are very happy today Dady"

I see a rush on Block size - or are Blockstream hoping to have an off-chain solution so you can keep your Bitcoin off the Blockchain? - the the race is on, get you BTC out of the exchange - treat an exchange like a cold shower a quick in and out. this is what AlexGR calls spam.

Small blocks help a determined tx spammer because once the blocks are full, their transactions get dropped from the mempool and their fees can be recycled to continue the attack. Make the attacker pay fees. Make it very expensive to clog the network.
Miners are sufficiently incentivized to choose an appropriate block size. Too big and their chances of being orphaned increase. This is the decentralized solution for a decentralized system.
Core wants training wheels? Fine, do the 2, 4, 8 increase. I liked Garzik's one off "kick the can" 2MB because it would allow us to measure and study the effects on relay nodes.
If this rally turns out to be like 2013, we are going to see big increases in tx's. I'm willing to wait until January to see what comes out of Hong Kong, but if it is more stonewalling... my fears of capture by a for profit entity will be solidified.
We should stop the bi polar battle though. (Of which I'm guilty of participating in too) Our objectives are the same: the success of Bitcoin. We have enough external enemies without tearing ourselves apart with internal bickering. Fears of centralization are real, fear of 3 tps being a huge bottleneck are real.
BJA: Be careful man, nothing wrong with locking in some profits and taking some gambles, but don't lay yourself down on the tracks to make a political point. We need your opinion in the upcoming months.

this shorter is going all in
What shorter? There's only 9300 BTC swaps on BFX. It's just a seller. BTW, thanks bulls. I just made so much money shorting today, that I can dump again if you wanna take another swipe at $420. So you opened you're just when exactly? When we busted through 380? 400? I call BS I started shorting @ $399 and kept shorting the whole way up. I could have shorted twice as much, but after covering @$380, I know have enough to safely short Three times as much if we come anywhere close to $420 again. I also transferred in some coins I was using for arbitrage just so I have some extra margin. Try it again, Bulls. I double dare you. See if I'm bluffing. dude you've really gone off the rails, sort yourself out. first with all the big block crap and now this shorting shit ... you used to be a model bitcoiner, what happened to you? Smallblockers happened to me. Scale or die. You need some sleep but you wont be able to as the Chinese will be waking up in the next 30 mins and going crazy but seriously its been a tiring 24 hours 12 hrs from now, I'll have an extra $6500 available for shorting as my swaps will expire. Let's hope the Chinese are as bullish as you say.

Fears of centralization are real, fear of 3 tps being a huge bottleneck are real.
Calling large miners centralized is like saying Kenya rigs the Boston Marathon. Bitcoin needs to be competitive. Should they limit the run to only white middle-class factory workers from Peoria? Watching them drop dead from heart attacks wouldn't be much fun, nor does watching blocks take days to process and get dropped. You can't make rules that exclude people because they are good at what they do.

I wish there was more free high tech stuff in the world.

not surprised that the top came in once that 7k in shorts covered on finex.
I think its pure gambling for people to be taking big positions right now. Too close to the auction, and anything can happen just like last time.
What if we see the coins moved to a finex hot wallet like the last auction? What if a big investor publicly announces that htey purchased the coins?
Unless you are trading the trend for 2-5% gains here, you're just plain stupid and playing with fire.
edit: As long as the premium exists in China, i think its fine to trade the trend. If it evaporates, load up the shorts.
