Freaking Cabtor Fitgerald just can't stop messing with cryptos.

Now they want to short the BTC market.

One factor driving the euphoria is the imminent introduction of futures trading on the Chicago exchanges, with the CFTC giving its blessing Friday for the CME, CBOE and Cantor Fitzgerald to start listing bitcoin derivatives on Dec. 18. 

Futures could slow bitcoin's ascent into the stratosphere, since professional investors will now have a way to short the market.

I hope they get professionally rekt.

For every future "short" that is sold the market maker MUST buy BTC in order to hedge. There is NO ASK market in the beginning. To sell short, someone has to BUY to sell to you.

This means futures are initially bullish.

You can sell naked calls without the underlying asset with enough collateral / capital.

I didnt sell accidentally. I had a stop at 11400 and then it went to 10200. Who says I didnt rebuy even more coins and now have a new stop/strategy?

It is you guys who are on another planet if you dont think a 1000% gain is going to see some kind of retracement. Historically all bitcoin rallies retrace to erase about 80% of their gains momentarily. $3K is actually quite generous of a figure. ITs so far away from $1K

Moderating the ongoing bullish trend as we go is a good thing. We don't want it to run away into bubble territory.

Too bad we didn't get a deep enough dip to be a good buying opportunity but we had one of those just a few days ago.

I'd be happy to keep climbing up fairly steadily with modest ATHs daily or close to daily.

I didnt say $3K is going to be hit now, only eventually. It could hit $15K before it hits $3K.
