white haired Morgan Stanley fuddy duddy? (Who's last name is Roach btw, lol)
Um.....not me!.....

You want to know what is scary? Two weeks ago my sister’s former boyfriend, a private soldier that left school at sixteen, started gushing enthusiastically about bitcoin and about how he had made fifty euro on his investment over the past three weeks. I started to feel sick in the pit of my stomach

The latter block isn't the "widely regarded economist" (and Morgan Stanley minion) Stephen Roach, or at least I couldn't find the excerpt in the linked page. Where is that from?

They just love to trot out the Mike Tyson argument. Snobby fucks.
I don't know about that. What's the Mike Tyson argument?

I just had to post to share with someone... I finally have sold one coin from my stash after holding since late 2013. I don't hold as much as I like but enough to make a considerable difference to my life. But with that one coin I've now paid off all debt apart from my home loan. The weight that has just lifted from my shoulders feels amazing. I've got to thank each and every one of you (my original account got hacked a year or so ago) for all your wise words over the years and kept me strong through the hard times to hold. It's been an amazing ride and I'm sure it's just getting started!

congrats !!! I can totally relate to everything you said above (even the account hack part)... sold off three 2013 coins between $9k & $11k to do much the same thing ..  having no debt beyond mortgage is a weird but totally amazeballs feeling...   still coming to grips with it actually...

Just wish I'd been mining back then with more than a single 5850  Embarrassed

next step 50k to pay off mortgage...

Sigg

Where's my beer LFC?

It’s going to have to include cocaine & hookers too buddy. This shit is going parabolic. Did you ever get your BCH out?
I did it a couple of weeks ago, ended up converting half into bitcoin & I’m still spending the rest having fun & on all kinds of useless shit, it’s like a years salary I got from our Roger & Jihan Grin

Hopefully BTG goes up so I can do it all over again.

Good times brother.

Yes my friend, I traded my BCH for bitcoin and got 14% boost to my stash. Better than nothing. Still holding btg and I'll keep holding the other forked coins coming this month and next too.

Just see where it all goes. Still haven't sold even one satoshi as of yet.

It's hilarious how these oldsters are coming forward one after the other to discredit themselves by repeating the same crap over and over again.

Are we in a bubble? We may well be, it has happened before. It may correct drastically.

But "muh instrinsic value" and "Bitcoin in their pocket"? Bitch please, 2013 called - it wants its shitty arguments back.

All these financial "experts" may well die of old age before they get dragged kicking and screaming into the new crypto-paradigm.

And what a blessing! We need to transfer wealth and power away from these crooks.

Cobwebbed, complacent conformists living in the past, believing that the old order can be maintained while the Bastille burns.

And the irony of these pompous figures lecturing us on bubbles when they were the ones found asleep at the post during 2007...

$12,800?

Man we need to release a new coin: LamboCoin! It's minted based on the price of Bitcoin, and each LamboCoin can be redeemed at any Lamborghini dealership for one new Lambo, right off the lot.

This way we can put our bitcoin into Lambos without clogging up our driveways and hedge against the eventual shortage of cars that's going to plague the Lamborghini company.

Because at the rate things are going, in a few months a Lambo will not be buy-able with any amount of fiat, only LamboCoins!

Fuck tether: It's tied to cash. LamboCoin is tied to cars!

An especially early fine good morning ladies and gentlemen of Bitcoinland.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MAtltZAlN4

Not just "another day, another ATH", but another day, another g-note leg up... currently $12850USD/$16290CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Old coins are up to $14622USD/$18535CAD each (Coinmarketcap).

Nothing like waking up to see that you've earned an obscene amount of money.

We all know a correction is due, but it's starting to look like 5 digits might be here to stay.

Go Bitcoin go.

Bitcoin prices keep rising, breaking through another price point this time at $13000. Come comment on our daily chart segment with your thoughts.

Bitcoin kept on rising through the day with BTC/USD markets scoring gains slightly below 10% through the past 24 hours as traders continue to rock on a bullish mood amid increased trading volumes all while bitcoin prices break through $13000 levels.

I think he left out a zero and was using European notation.

He probably meant $100k.

I'm expecting the price will be then dancing around $15k, good enough for me!  Cheesy
