Some issues to take care of, about 80 pages behind.
Totally OT question - which uninstaller program for Windows would you recommend?
linux Thanks! It worked fine. After the Linux DVD was done running, I found no trace of the program I wanted to uninstall.

bets on when the JJGbot overtakes chart buddy?
At the posting rate that we are going, the dude is likely to overtake me around the same time that I am to overtake chartbuddy, if not sooner... that is if we maintain about the current posting rate.

So I took a snippet of a recent JJG comment and put it into a prompted language generator (talktotransformer.com) and got the following: Yeah, I know that the terms of bitcoin and cryptocurrency are really ongoingly convoluted in mainsteam discussions too, I could easily follow a post like, "let's focus on politics and maybe pick a side," that's not how I think about it. The point I'm trying to make is that if we were to find another operating system that is even more decentralised than bitcoin, then suddenly it's not such a bizarre concept.
So where does JJG's actual words end? That word generator came out as a bunch of gobbledy gook, and in contrast, most of the time my typenings are making some senses... My production of new words are going to end when I die... which is kind of hard to predict.. I doubt any kind of bot would be programed to replace my word generations. An actual bot would probably be too damned annoying for udder peeps whether in the WO or otherwise, even though surely some peeps find some (if not all) of my words already annoying, but just imagine if I were an actual bot (rather than the fictionalization of my bieng a bot)... that would be more worser yet... like gembitz in paragraphs, rather than one-liners. Anyhow, maybe I have a few more halvenings in me, if I am lucky... but surely I am not of perfect health, and clearly I am not as strong as I was when I was younger. There is only so much that any of us can do (proactively and preventatively) to keep our meat waggon going, and even jojo had been coming off as a bit obsessed with this idea of his limited time, recently, so in terms of my lil selfie, I know that shit could end at some point that is well before I am able to spend a decent number of my bitcoins... will my relatives be able to figure out how to retrieve whatever coins are remaining at that point? I am not really sure. ^^^...right. On a side note, Texas claims to add AI to UE process. I kid you not. Artificial intelligence-enabled chatbot has been added to the TWC homepage to provide answers to UI (unemployment insurance) questions 24/7. ...(already helped 43,817 folks and has answered 98,065 messages) Watch out as some suggested that strong AI might sprung from chatbots. We are doooooomed. I'm not worried. We have JJG on our side. nanu nanu

While on this tangent, what's a decent free antivirus? Sick of popups and ads.
I believe Windows Defender that ships with Win 10 is a respectable product in its own right. Not sure there is a need for further antivirus solutions unless you are looking for protection against more esoteric threats. Also, stop clicking so many random URLs, you absolute dingus. No problem there, every link you will see has been background checked in "the cloud" (TM) by MS Defender before you are even able to click it. That way it happily unsubscribes you from badly designed mailing lists, buys you overly expensive TP etc. It is not the worst product detection-wise, but it is a total privacy nightmare (like every other major AV). Otherwise: Fighting pop-ups with an AV is like squashing flies with a sledge-hammer.

Well, I'd recommend handwriting letters, would also lower the post frequency a tad. On a more serious note, I never used an AV since the mid 90s and never catched anything, so I can't advise. AV's give some false sense of security, more or less a digital snake oil. But most/all catch only a fraction of the nasties out there while massively invading your privacy. I still have a few hundred samples that kiddies dropped on my honeypot ~5yrs ago and you need at least a dozen different AV products to detect over 90% of them. But if you are happy if every link you get by email or in web sites that is looking suspicious to an AI is fetched by an AWS* instance to be run through a malware detonation chamber and most certainly getting archived, MS Defender is probably fine for you. Though I'd strongly advise against using such a computer for dealing with your crypto moneys (because, umm, somebody is randomly clicking links on your behalf). * Yes, MS is using Amazon not Azure for this, they think they can outsmart the bad guys this way *lol* - bad guys have IP lists of all these instances from most AVs.

AV's also have a habit of analyzing the executables they find your machine by "running" them in a poorly designed proprietary "sandbox".
Fuck that.

Gotta love that $100 bid wall. Here's what it looks like in my head. Seriously guys, you don't have to panic buy all the way back up to $200 in a single day. Looks like we've found a battleground.
Bears getting owned. OH MY GOD! I think we can post whatever we want here. I haven't seen any posts deleted and OP said that it isn't actually being moderated.
I would be stunned if it did not bounce back to about $128 in 2 hours, when people execute their held back buys... Time's up ... there ya go - 7 Years before:Just to remember the first days of the Wall Observer thread, the first 10 meme /gif. (Among them there are also some broken links, possibly some meme or gif has been lost)

Something is better than nothing.
Seriously agreed, there is not much the average Joe can do, to protect himself against ... At least having full use of your PC, without things popping up and changing various settings, is fine. On my laptop I run all three, win, macos, linux.
AV's also have a habit of analyzing the executables they find your machine by "running" them in a poorly designed proprietary "sandbox".
Fuck that.
Indeed. That's why you can create custom rules.

Crazy idea: I collected all posts in the Wall Observer thread made by the Top 500 495 (I reached the maximum post length) most active users (on the first 26486 pages). I wanted to post this April 1st, but I didn't make it on time. Warning: chances are your browser won't like opening very large pages, and many images won't show due to Bitcointalk image proxy restrictions I'll only list the Top 500 here, but I collected all posts for all users who ever posted here (again: limited to the first 26486 pages). See http://loyce.club/other/WallObserver/allposts/ for all userIDs. ~snip~ Thanx Loyce. Interesting stats to peruse as usual. I was wondering, is there a top 500 (or whatever) list showing members average earned merit per post? (i.e... earned merits over total posts) I'm sure it exists somewhere, just couldn't find it. My google search skills are lacking. Thanx again. You can make it based on BPIP's Most Active Profiles, but it's difficult to get up to date information on all profiles. It requires a lot of scraping. And there are a some users with only a few posts, but many Merits.

@DeutscheBank The COVID-19 pandemic is accelerating the rise of central bank #digitalcurrencies as many governments see the handling of cash as a potential risk factor. This will likely add to calls to move towards #digitalcash according to our #dbresearch colleague @MarionLaboure https://twitter.com/deutschebank/status/1245986930455691264?s=21@DeutscheBank “A once-in-a-century pathogen demands once-in-a-century solutions.
