Bought a used truck many many years ago for $5K in btc, it would now be worth > $150K.

I've got a $1500 Instant Pot. Cooks great!

Also got a $700 PS3 game. Still playing!

heh yeah. i dont regularly check the price (maybe once a week or even less); i have laddered sells and buys set and let it run on autopilot for the most part. but when in the space of like 6 hours there were 8 new pages in the WO i fired up a tab to my exchanges.

Do you have a bot to make new orders once you had some that have been executed ?

nope. the WO thread gives a heads up on big moves and i do check my fills and such when im checking the price. ill then redo the ladders if needed. but its a pretty good range with some set to pop on wild moves up or down as well as the more "normal" intervals.

i dont trust bots. (apologies to JJG)

I've been browsing through my e-mail history today.

You old-timers sometimes mention stupid shit you bought through out the years with bitcoin. Here is my contribution. This is dated back in 2013 when bitcoin was traded roughly around $80.

Thanks for posting this, makes me feel better to have peers in that sort of thing. We did what we did, and it brought us all to the place we are at now.

Nothing like drying yourself with a thousand dollar towel :-) Down the road a bit I might trade a bitcoin for a Lambo, but then I'm sure I will be kicking myself about it in a year or two :-)

Bought a used KNC Titan in 2016 that is long recycled now (I kept the fans and the power supply though) for 5.4BTC.
Not my best decision in hindsight, but also not my worst  Grin
Admittedly it made me a few coins (coins that may not be named here but are good for paying hookers according to lightfoot).

That's a reassuring chart. It would be reassuring in 'normal' times. But now, compared to the last post-halvening, we have a fiat system edging nearer to hyperinflation than ever before (printing machines brrrring; trade wars; the expected demise of the USD as reserve currency; collapsing oil price; inflated financial markets; squeezed middle classes; political unrest; a global health pandemic; and a clown 'leading' the western world.

Bitcoin...was...made...for...this.

Hold onto your (WO) hats!

MUCH more satisfying to have paid for things with shitforks.

I have a MSI GS65 paid for by Roger. That was about 1.3 Rogers when it was way higher than it is now so I have a £300 machine. I like it when it goes in the opposite direction more.

I still have some Rogers and Craigys. I'm looking forward to spending them when mugs send them vastly higher.

The good thing is that it's not Barting...

Downward pressure is quickly counteracted by pampenings...

Soon the last remaining barriers will fall and the bull will be unleashed.

$20k by Xmas? *drools*

Slightly possible. But I sincerely hope it doesn't go to attack the 2017 ATH until 2021. It will be better in the long run that way. Fuck FOMO.

I agree. Slow and steady. No need to be greedy. Let the Badger do its thing.

Even $13k to $15k by Xmas is fine by me.

2021 will be the "Year of the Moon" for Bitcoin.

Florida Man who Used COVID-Relief Funds to Purchase Lamborghini Sports Car Charged in Miami Federal Court

A Florida man was arrested and charged with fraudulently obtaining $3.9 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and using those funds, in part, to purchase a sports car for himself.  Authorities seized a $318,000 sports car and $3.4 million from bank accounts at the time of arrest.

Speaking of lambos. Anyone remember the user Goat? Wasn't he one of the first persons buying a lambo with bitcoins, back in 2013? Whatever happened to him? Did he turn out to be a scammer?

I kind of rage-quit bitcoin and left the bitcoin community in 2014, and didn't return until 2017. The period within that time is a blank sheet to me.

Edit: Apparently, he goes by the user El Cabron now, and has been banned since 2014. Also found this thread Goat owe me 3740.35 BTC

Light pullback looks pretty standard and possibly wrapping up.

You know I actually think I am internally trying to spin the lowish volume on  this rise into a positive thing. Smiley

I mean, we want this sort of actual to be supported by volume... but I have been thinking.  Exchanges BTC levels are low.  Miners might be running low in salable stock.  Grayscale has bought up all the outstanding stock and more.

I think what we are seeing is the inevitable post halving pressure really starting to kick in.

So, considering that what do you guys think is gonna happen once we get even a whiff of fomo happening?

This is why the volume is not really a negative in my opinion... maybe rationalization, but I don't think so...
I think the same, it is true we are seeing a drop in the price but this was natural, the price had being going up for days and the volume was getting a little low so the bears are taking advantage of it, but after months of nothing this week has been amazing and if the bulls can hold the 10500 level this could be the perfect set up for the bull run we are expecting.

It is just me or it seems Lamborghini is only sustaining itself by crypto millionaires buying their mandatory lambo once they get rich.
