Too many lulz, too few smeritz  Sad
I'm not even bothering with WOsMeriting ATM. That fucker theymos already introduced much too much emission inflation with this devilish craze.
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

It had better be one helluva good sammie.  A body needs over 600 kcals to replace a pint of blood.
One of you bitcoin bazillionaires will have to set up a soup kitchen/bitcoin re-education center.

Any Subway footlong for no more than 0.0002 BTC delivered should cover that.

The activity of this thread in 12 hours makes Wall Observer look like an inactive thread.

On second thought, fuck it.  I am about ready to repudiate the whole concept of Bitcoin maximalism, if what it gets me is wasting time explaining things to people who don’t want to understand.  People who would have rejected Bitcoin years ago—and probably did...  If I have no patience remaining for people who think that “blockchain” is magic pixie dust they can just sprinkle around as a buzzword, why should I write long, patient explanations for people who don’t think through the problems that blockchains do solve?

You do it because you care, you fuck.

 Tongue Tongue Tongue

Sold all of my bitcoins today, I am out.
I hate you all.

You sold your whole 0.02419433 BTC?  hahahahahahaa

Have fun staying even MOAR poor than you were.

BTW are there any women on this forum ? I know that being a woman on internet is difficult but still, there should be more of them I would think.

Yes.. there is a woman on this forum.

Jay just won the thread.  All 28,527 pages of it.  infofront, please lock; it is over.

Hang on now.  Since Lauda left, can we be sure there is a woman on this forum?

Yes, "we" can.

There is always one.. no matter the actual facts.

theymos's magic, literally converted Bitcoin price movement discussion to bitcointalk.org NFTs discussion.

A bit of a shitcoin pumpener, that theymos guy...

 Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

My gift to all you WO Members on this April Fool's Day.
Enjoy.

-bunch of oversized pics-

Thanks for posting all your pics at 850 width. I can make them out even with my old eyes.

Maybe you could try something wider next time so we can all have the fun of scrolling them sideways.

Apologies. On my iPhone and in Chrome it seems to scale ok for me and I don't see side scrolling at all.
Was struggling with legibility of some of the boxes if smaller.
I've changed them to 550. Better?

Won't be posting much of these.

Recently, my practice regarding posting images have been to attempt to shrink them down to their still being sufficiently readable in terms of content, and if they have any text then the text should NOT be too difficult to read.. so in that regard, the smallest size that accomplishes such mission/objective.. usually,  I will land somewhere between 200 and 400... but sometimes there will be reasons to go outside of that range..

Been thinking about selling the equation in my avatar ... how do I collect royalties if someone invents something incredibly lucrative using it?

You'd need to fix the last bracket, otherwise no respected equation connoisseur will buy it.

I would rather fix the first bracket (after the product), so as to be consistent with the size of the object inside the bracket pair... But, surely, even fixing the last bracket is a step in the right direction, and adds the necessary symmetry to the pair.

You have an eye for detail, Phil_S. I'm impressed.

An issue of the \large vs. \Large thingy?

... it's ok to critique on style when your intellect doesnt allow for critiquing on content

... but I'm quite happy with bracket asymmetry thanx, taking creative licence on this point

... So if you want to choose your own bracket geometries that's fine but you'll have to start by discovering your own fucking equations

jajajajaja

A little hostile, Marcus parcus..

Look who woke up on the wrong side of the bed on this lovely 1 of April.   Wink

 Tongue

One curiosity that I have regards a couple of my previously owned NFTs (of me) that are currently listed "for sale," and I was pretty sure that I was only issued 7 NFTs, and they were numbered/labelled I to VII.., so currently, as I type this post, why are there two NFT's that are for sale with my name that are numbered/labelled VII? (you can see the ones for sale, here) Seems strange to me.

My guess? As part of his fNFT lesson, theymos decided to fuck up with emission.

Not a bad theory of possible theories.

Yeah, we happen to be stuck at the top of the fucking range, and you believe that there is some kind of significance to downward moves of less than 10%?  In your case, you are drawing attention to corrections of less than 3%.. when we happen to be at the top of the range?

Get a fucking grip, milkshock100.

There has not been a material/significant BTC price correction yet, and maybe wake me up if we go below $52k, and that level of correction, if it were to come, whether flash crash or something more lasting, would likely NOT be very important, either... so maybe we would need something in the sub $45k or sub $42k to possibly have some meaning beyond serving as nearly pure noise.

As for your equation, just by looking at it I'm guessing that it's an infinite product approximation of something that roughly behaves like sinc(x) = sin(x)/x, and is also shifted by Pi/2 on the x-axis.

it has the property

f(x) f(-x) = \frac{\sin x}{x}

So I wasn't too far off... Interesting property. Does the equation have any practical application, say, in digital filtering, sampling or similar? Or was it constructed just for the lulz?
