Damn it, had to do some stuff @ work (@ home actually, but work stuff), and missed the Euro-ATH!

Come on, USD, you can do it too.

Is this the break we are waiting for?  Smiley

Oh, and I'll eat my dick on national TV if COVID-19 vaccines contain 5G chips. Which I won't, because they don't.

And many of us wouldn't be alive if there were no vaccines. Not saying we should blindly accept the current COVID-19 vaccines as safe, but we all know how conspiracy theories thrive in times of crisis. Alex Jones must be ecstatic—He's got years of new material for his content.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

I'm in the same situation, my house is full of stuff, need somewhere to store it.

Just buy a second house.

That is one of the options I'm looking into.
I'm starting to not like my current house so much, the neighborhood has changed too much since I moved in 22 years ago. Back then it was a paradise of solitude and tranquility in the perfect environment. But unfortunately a millionaire bought the old farm across the street and built a whole complex of stables and a big equestrian facility with fans that's just loud enough to be irritating but not loud enough to be illegal. It used to be farmland with an old farm a bit up an old dirt driveway.

yeah. things have changed here too, the small town vibe is going fast. only thing keeping us here is the neighbors really. solid people. well, i also cant really put a dirt track on this land so theres that too.

$60k doesn't want to fall, it seems...

It looks like small, incremental ant-pumps won't cut it. We need a massive, mega-pump of the Elon/Saylor variety to be able to shift the equilibrium $5k-$10k higher.

Looks like $70k is a requirement, before $60k is gone for good.

My job is not well paid even for my poor country, but I have no moral right to quit. This is a dream prestigious position that I worked very hard to get. It requires talking with people mostly about computer technology and Bitcoin for 6 hours ... per week (edit: plus 5 months paid vacation per year). Yes, my bosses are idiots and they try to humiliate me in every possible way. I could become a boss too, but that would mean I have to work 8 hours per day, no thanks! But they have no idea that my wealth is equal to the yearly budget of the whole organization (which has hundreds of employees), so I am quite happy for now and gloat from the inside Grin. But I'm thinking of finding an income on a certain island where for now I intend to spend each Summer. And at some point I can settle permanentrly with the help of the stash I have. Theoretically I could buy a small 200-500m2 villa and live without an income for 2 decades, relying only on my BTC stash, but I am afraid to take any risks. Hopefully this dream will become true soon. Hitting 200-300K price target will make the things much easier for sure Wink

#16: CENSORSHIP...AND THE COMPLETE ABSENCE OF SCIENTIFIC DEBATE

Nothing  personal to all of you guys hoping vaccination will solve all problems but... if anyone of you @experts@ could trash this piece of work would be highly appreciated .

I was almost ready to get this vaccine but somebody sent me this link yesterday afternoon.

https://www.deconstructingconventional.com/post/18-reason-i-won-t-be-getting-a-covid-vaccine

Do your own research and decide either way.

This article is an advertisement to encourage you to subscribe to the website's dubious health program through promoting fear and ignorance.
While the writer has already been vaccinated.
A first grade kid could trash all 18 lame excuses.

If there was an article '18 reasons to ditch Bitcoin' would you sell?
Likely you would research who was behind the article and their motive.
(Like Oh yeah Craig Wright sponsored the article to dis Bitcoin and promote his shitcoin or Big Corporation X wants an in to Bitcoin and needs to get your coins at a cheaper price etc.)

My healthy 32 year old daughter non smoker, organic diet, active outdoor pursuits, caught Covid and spent 8 days in hospital seriously ill. 2 months on she still has some mild symptoms noticeably poor sense of smell and taste plus minor fatigue.

Her ordeal made it an easy decision for me to get vaccinated.

How did you come to the conclusion that the writer has been vaccinated?  He has not been vaccinated against covid.  If you read the article again, you'll find that the author has been infected with covid and he posts a link to an article that says "Scientists warn vaccinating people who already COVID could potentially cause harm, or even death."

I'm glad your daughter has recovered, perhaps you should follow that link with an open mind; there is a chance her body could overreact to the vaccine since she's already been infected.

"When a vaccine reactivates an immune response in a recently infected person, the tissues harboring the persisting viral antigen are targeted, inflamed and damaged by the immune response."

edit: I had severe cat allergies and opted for immunotherapy (weekly injections of cat proteins for several months to retrain my immune system).  While undergoing the therapy, if I was around a person who owned a cat, the injection site was the first place I would feel a reaction.  That area would become swollen, sore and itchy first.

Yeah.  We live in the age of a lack of nuanced views.  You are either a racist or an ally. Covid is either a biblical plague or a world government conspiracy.  One of positions I dislike the most is the whole "Trust the Science" bullshit.  Another black and white nonsense, and one of the least scientific things you can say.  Science is a trust-minimized discipline.  At least it is supposed to be.

I am sure covid is being used by TPTB to push agendas.  And it *might* have even been a planned psyop from the beginning.  And maybe it's also a biblical plague, lol.

I had a close friend who got it.  Spent weeks in the hospital over 4 admissions.  Not only did it nearly kill him, seriously damage his lungs, but it precipitated a heart attack.

It is a serious public health challenge.  It has overloaded the healthcare systems in areas that have suffered strong surges.  And many of the governments of the world (and in my country states) have made choices on how to deal with it that range from draconian to flippant.  But I personally think we have been tilted WAY to the draconian side.

The vaccine *is* new tech, and rolled out without nearly as much testing as it would normally get.  It *could* have downstream effects we have not anticipated.  I also think mRNA treatments might be the basis for cures of many other diseases we have been trying to eliminate for decades.  Also, not everyone needs it.

Anyway...  God bless your daughter... sorry she had to go through it.  Not fun, I know.  And sobering to deal with effects so long after it's over.

It has killed 17x more people in my country than the worst flu season ever. One can't believe only in statistics but it gives some idea anyway. My sister and sister of brother-in-law work both in hospitals and they've told what chaos there has been at some points.

A year a go some people were saying "I don't know anyone who knows anyone who has been infected with Covid". Some of them got sick pretty bad later on..

In fairness to the middle-of-the-road types, there were quite a few saying "It's just a flu bro!".

That's true.  And that was never me.  I see that as being another foolish polarized position.  Covid was fundamentally VERY different than the flu.  Far more contagious.  Much less deadly. But the first part means more deaths. That made it's impact quite different than the flu.  Also we are learning that it could have residual impacts that are troubling.  Just two ways "just the flu" was and is bullshit.  This is the exact sort of nuance ignored by the people on the extremes.

And, yes, I am talking about Covid in the past tense.  Could be wrong... but I think we are watching SARS-CoV-2 fade into the history books.  Wonder what they have queued up for the next act? Wink

OK.. just to talk about Bitcoin for a moment... Wink

Considering Bitcoin use on the rise in African culture...  who are our Africans here?  Does anyone have data on this?  What I want to know is whether the idea is true that Africans are using BTC for trade via trusted second layers currently.  Exchanges for example.  That they are NOT trading into a lower fee crypto to trade in.  (BCH, LTC, DOGE for example).  I am asking how much Africans are choosing to stay in BTC rather than trade in the cheaper less liquid ALTS.

Are we seeing  Gresham's or Their's law playing out there?

From my reading I understand they are really staying focused on BTC, and just avoiding fees by exchanging off chain... and if that is true I honestly think this is one of the MOST important things happening with BTC from a evolution standpoint.

Not that we believe that microchip implant bill gates 5G conspiracy theory bullshit, but if we catch the Covid, we can effectively lower the lethality and chances of developing severe symptoms as well as ending the infection quickly by using an asthma spray (i currently try to get hold of).

I understand they can be had reasonably priced on the darkweb. Not that I am endorsing either the inhalers or the darkweb.
