Re whether April 2021 or Nov 2021 was the 'real' top, opinions differ.
In price, it is Nov, of course. In everything else: momentum, various on-chain metrics, etc, April looks like a better fit.
As bears in bitcoin usually last at least 12-14 mo, therefore, IF June's ~$17.6K would be an ultimate bottom, then, indeed, it would help to think about bear market lasting since last April.
On the other hand, if the bottom (lower than $17.6K) would occur between now and next January-February, then it would seem that Nov 2021 was the "true" top.
I know that it sounds wishy-washy, but in fact, it is more like a truly undetermined state....our future measurement (of the bottom) would determine the "true top" call.

I don't really agree with some aspects of what you say, but I still think that you presented the dilemma fairly well, and you left the overall conclusion a bit more open than some of your earlier seemingly more dogmatic assertions on the same topic..

You're not completely a lost cause..

Not quite sure how McCormack will ever recover from this!

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/craig-wright-v-peter-mccormack-wright-put-forward-false-evidence-will-receive-damages-of-c2-a31/ar-AA10b8Aa

https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/news/dr-bitcoin-awarded-1-after-deliberately-false-libel-evidence/5113293.article

Welcome to lawl.

You know... that payment of 0.00005315 BTC would be perfectly suited to be settled on lightning.

My first impression (even after glancing at those linked news releases) is that seems to be like a win for that fucktwat scammer Craig Wright.

If Wright even received £1 as nominal damages, then that ruling seems to have also precluded McCormack from collecting legal fees (and/or punitive damages from Wright) in regards to either Wright's frivolous lawsuit or the fact that the Wright twat had submitted false evidence to the court in support of such frivolous claim.

It could have been worse, but still something does not seem proper/fair/just about the ruling.
its probably the best outcome possible aside from dismissal
basically the Court saying yes...he was most likely defamed but hes a liar and probably deserved it
any future litigation will be hampered by this...win win id think

Agree to disagree for the reasons already stated - McCormick's having to have had paid his own legal fees and the possibility of punitive damages against Wright to not even be possible - even though I am not sure if UK law actually allows punitive damages in regards to maliciously frivolous** lawsuits - which seems to be where Wright et al's motivations had laid.

**I had previously heard that UK law does NOT have SLAPP lawsuit protections or similar protections in common law.

Who do you think controls the supply, DeBeers for example? What dictates the price of Diamonds? Surely the cost of mining determines the rock bottom price regardless of its supply. You should move past Econ 101, maybe start with Dr. Seuss

Who controls the price of Bitcoin? Bitmain, Tether(Bitfinex, willyBot 2.0), and soon Intel

bitcoin no doesn't work like that.

Serious question to you then....What actually gives BTC a value in $...Be specific

These forces (Ukraine war, high interest rate and inflationary fears) are doing everything possible to undo Bitcoin. But Bitcoin would overcome them all.
