Last year I decided to review my BTC accounting, I have a lot of more or less dodgy "investments" with some sats in, sometimes more, overall 10-15% of my stash. I decided to just write everything off, and only count them when/if they pay off, when the coins are in my possession (on wallets I control the keys off). Saved me a lot of time and some stress, worrying about something like that isn't worth it, and when I get some sats it's a welcome surprise.

I might add I'm not "investing" anymore, I learned my lesson.

Anywho seeing the price skyrocketing I check some of my wallets to see how rich I am, and a big chunk is missing, I'm seeing a number that I'm familiar with, it's my colder stash basically, the warmer stuff isn't showing up. For a moment I thought I hadn't done the thing I thought I had done, withdrawing almost everything from exchanges etc. Go to the exchanges, nothing much there. Am I losing it ?

Then the wallet app finally "syncs" and everything is there.

What a relief.

What's strange is that I haven't moved anything in months and that app should have been synced at least up to that point, it's like it went back in time.

Well, it's that time in the cycle where I don't sound like a crazy person talking about imaginary internet money.

When friends and colleagues who criticized me over the last 8 years or so say "Oh wow did you see how well Bitcoin is doing?!"  I'll respond with "Oh really?... that's cool." and I'll leave it at that...

Everyone gets Bitcoin at the price they deserve.

Yeah I'm like that too. Unfortunately a colleague of mine, who never mocked me but didn't invest, knows I have coins, so he's nagging me a bit.

So back in 2019 one of my kids mowed the lawn and I was able to talk them into taking their pay in BTC.  At the time it was worth about $25.  (The deal was $20 in USD, or $25 in BTC).

They are an adult now and going on a trip.  And might need some extra cash.

They inquired about their corn.  I looked it up.  Today it is worth $535.  Congrats on your 21x I told them.

Hoping not much gets cashed out... but who am I to tell them what to do with their money?

Is this entering euphoria?

I figured when the constant pump gets boring because of the never ending excitement we tend to reach the top... But I'm not even excited much yet.

this is escalating pretty quickly....

It might be just the noise before the US starts the real race when adding BTC to their treasury...

Imagine the US makes a kind of Saylor move and starts balancing their finances that way ...and other countries have to follow!

IMO we have seen nothing yet...  don't sell too quickly, the next years are going to be wild...
