Making Gold from fusion

Very interesting Roll Eyes

After realizing the length and the technical level of the paper, I literally jumped to the conclusions. Someone should forward a summary of it to Peter Schiff.

Okay in 2016 the world mined 4500 tons of mercury and 3000 tons of gold

and in 2023 the world mined 1600 tons of mercury and 3000 tons of gold.

info per google search.

We are not running out of mercury but we have enough and demand was lower .

a ton of mercury is about 100,000 usd
a ton of gold is about 107,000 million

So it looks like the ability to double the production of gold is very close to being in the worlds technical ability

I wonder if we get to see this happen in the next ten years.

gold would take a big hit in price.

Oh I have found out why Russia and USA
 are melting the ice

Permafrost:
A study published by the American Geophysical Union identified a massive mercury deposit in northern permafrost, estimating 793 gigagrams (about 15 million gallons) of mercury frozen in the soil.

Now 15 million gallon of mercury are about 15,000,000x113.40=1,701,000,000 pounds or  1,701,000,000/2204.62=771,561.539

So 771,561 tons of mercury could be mined and turned into gold from just the permafrost only 216,265 tons of gold have ever been mined

So gold is way way way way over valued if that paper is correct.

And this is why USA wants Canada and Greenland.  Oh Trump will soon be charging Canada for not fighting the forest fires in Canada well enough.

Such fun times.

Back to price 115.7k.

 I got some dip yesterday

The comparative perspective of gold, the vast reserves of mercury stored in permafrost, could be a factor in future economic restructuring. Especially when the real production capacity of precious metals is limited, the supply of mineral resources, geopolitics, and changes in the natural and social environment influence each other at different stages of the global economy.

I am sorry, I obviously jinxed it.
I would therefor like to clarify the only real truth for the record:

Of course I am not planning to buy a german car, I never said that - that's all FAKE NEWS!!
Anybody saying so is a dirty lying scumbag and Imma gonna sue them!
I don't do and never did german car things, I hate german cars!
Those guys lost the war, I am never ever going to drive such car from losers.

I am looking at a Ford (like a Pinto), a Chrysler or even a Tesler, these are all big, beautiful, nice cars and I love them a lot.

</s>

Oh the long walks will be so good for my health..  Embarrassed

But seriously: It gets harder and harder for orange emperor to shake up the markets, BTC seems to recover nicely given the scope, reach and extents of his latest tariff bomb.

[EDITED to add:] Seems only BTC/USD is recovering, it is flat and holding support against EUR or CHF.

I've sold every stock and ETF I could before the Trump krach and didn't come back. Since it also crashed the dollar and I'm living in Euroland, even if I had bought the dip I would probably be no better or barely. However I still own a 6 figures euro amount of stock in my employer's company, that I can't sell. And it dropped 7% yesterday, that hurts. BTC dropped a bit, too. Feeling poor !

A lucid analysys IMHO, without the spicy talk that someone else has addicted me to.
Here are just a few snippets from an informed, valuable news article.

Weak Bitcoin Treasury Companies Will Be Crushed By Bear Market, Insider Warns

Bitcoin is homogeneous collateral, but public equities are not. Liquidity, index inclusion, and the absolute size of a balance sheet produce a “winner-take-most dynamic”

perpetual preferred equity—dividends but “no debt maturity ever”—(is) a structure that removes the most dangerous cliff

The times are good now… there will be a cycle. That’s what will separate the men from the boys

I'm also worried these companies will do more harm than good.

The only thing we can do is to keep some dry powder for when they crash the price of BTC...

So we’re tanking, thanks to Orange Man and his tariffs fetish once again. Oh man, just when I thought we might start going up again.

Hopefully we don’t go much lower but seasonally, Bitcoin is usually not great in the summer months. Sit tight and HODL I guess.

Last time when their was tariff stand off between US and China, bitcoin went down to 75k.

This time the countries that failed to have tariff agreements with US doesn't have big powers like China, so price may not go down much lower.

But in the end it's Bitcoin and anything can happen.

no plagiarism if poster is the SAME guy.
Notice the slight difference in a wheel orientation: unless these are stills from a same vid of some other source, I say that these are two pictures shot in a rapid succession and, therefore, most likely shot by the same person. One pic posted on WO, another somewhere else.
uhh... the text is the plagiarism part.. and yes it is video, the link is under the picture (in my post, not his).

and somehow I doubt our account/merit farming hero is also an influencer on X
unless ur being sarcastic, in which case: lol good one
Woah, pls i wasn't trying to pass anything off as mine, nutildah. I just saw it on X and thought it would be cool to share here too, and i couldn't post a video here, that was the reason for the image, so please i am not a "merit farming hero is also an influencer on X"...  If it came off the wrong way, I am open to correction, no problem....

Ans TBH, a lot of stuff that gets posted here also comes from X or other platforms, be it memes, news and all that. My mistake was I forgot to drop the link or giving credit where I saw it, which I normally do, and I own that...

So yeah, my bad on that part. But please don’t make it sound like I was out here trying to fake anything, it wasn’t that deep. Thanks Man….

Exactly, they’re the same. I couldn’t post the video itself here because I guess the forum does not support that format, so I just shared image instead. The post or image isn’t originally mine or associated with me, i came across the meme on X and thought it would be worth sharing here. Wasn’t trying to claim ownership or anything like that, just wanted to contribute something I found interesting....

Hopefully you learn from this situation because it is not good to take text from another post (whether on this forum or in some other social media location) and to not give proper attribution.  In this case, it looked like you were trying to pass off the contents of your post (or the ideas contained therein) as your own ideas and/or your own words.

There is also nothing wrong with posting various bitcoin-related ideas or topics or news from X and/or other outside sources here in this thread and/or to put them in other threads on the forum.  Like you suggested it could be interesting, humorous and/or provide some kind of discussion points.

Several of us would prefer that members put some further efforts into those kinds of posts, to the extent that maybe some comment might serve to show some ideas about the topic being posted, yet the least that members should be doing is to make proper (and not ambiguous) attributions and not making it ambiguous in regards to whether they are posting their own ideas or the ideas of someone else.

There are some senior members on the forum who also post with ambiguous attributions, yet senior members will tend to get away with their ambiguities of attribution more than newer members since we are still getting to know newer members, so some of us will complain more about the conduct of newer members as compared with complaining about the conduct of older members.

The only thing we can do is to keep some dry powder for when they crash the price of BTC...

You need to be careful if you are trying to trade bitcoin, and if you are selling bitcoin with expectations of buying back cheaper.

Of course, guys are at differing stages of their bitcoin accumulation journey.

Newbie guys should be accumulating bitcoin at all times and at any price.  Sometimes it could take a whole cycle or two to get out of the strict bitcoin accumulation stage... guys have to figure out if they can start to change their strategy based on how many BTC that they already accumulated and their other personal factors.

It seems to me that once a guy starts to get to a point of having decent amounts of BTC, he might no longer feel it is good use of his fiat to be accumulating bitcoin at all prices, so then he might start to become strategic about his bitcoin buys, meaning buying on dip.

I am not opposed to guys buying bitcoin on dip or even holding money aside to buy bitcoin on dips, especially for guys who had been accumulating bitcoin for a while.   Sometimes guys prematurely conclude that they should switch their strategies, and sometimes they also start to conclude that they might be better off to sell bitcoin in order to buy back cheaper, and I personally think that selling in order to buy back bitcoin is a bad way to try to accumulate bitcoin since it comes off as gambling rather than investing and it does not necessarily assure that a guy is continuing to build his bitcoin stack.. especially if he is still in the stage of not having enough bitcoin.

Of course, each of us can do what we like since each of us is going to enjoy and/or suffer the consequences, and we are not going to necessarily agree on tactics.

By the way, on a personal level, I have not even figured out what the supposed reason for our current price drop.. except everything in the market is currently dropping... and we can really never know when matters could reverse, and sometimes bitcoin will directionally reflect short-term overall market happenings, and other times bitcoin will do the opposite, and overall, many of us should realize that bitcoin is not completely correlated to other asset classes, macro happenings and/or even completely to liquidity, especially since bitcoin is in its earliest stages of adoption, so it is capable of having upward steps from time to time that are more related to its own growth and dynamics and its own scarcity - even if some institutions might be attempting to employ various forms of fractional reserves.

In fact, it is difficult to say the exact reason for the movement of Bitcoin. Because there are always some events happening in this world, in this case, it can be observed that many events are happening at the same time. In that case, no specific reason can be said.

However, America and China, these two rival countries in the world, these countries are capable of exerting a lot of influence in the world. However, now I think Bitcoin will continue to rise in the future.

One thing I don't see anyone talking about is the mtgox coins.  They were distributed almost exactly a year earlier than this latest dip.  Sure, there are always lots of reasons why things happen, but I saw this one coming so it doesn't scare me too much.  I believe we're just seeing a dip of major early holders cashing out because they can now do so with long term capital gains from the mtgox distribution.  This is a short term issue and it's coming right before an expected boom to $150K over the next 45 days, so I'm tempted to call this the final dip before the bubble inflates to it's peak.  We'll see, but I think we have one last big hurrah before the music stops.

OT: Today marks the day when student loans (in SAVE-COVID era program) will start to accrue interest again.
The "funny thing" is that the admin DID NOT establish any way for those borrowers to switch YET to a new program.
That would come later, maybe as late as one year from now if what i am reading is correct and for now, the loans would just accumulate interest  Roll Eyes.
How "nice" is that?

NOT OT: Now, those young people will have less money to DCA into bitcoin, I assume.

I compared the previous tariffs between the US and China in April to Bitcoin's surge to $75,000. In less than four months, Bitcoin nearly doubled from $75,000 to an all-time high of $123,000 last July.
If Bitcoin drops to the $113,000 I wrote about, and if it repeats itself like yesterday in less than four months or in the next few months before the end of the year, the price of Bitcoin could double from $113,000 to over $220,000. Hopefully. Grin lol

Apparently ,what they're saying in the Articles is that the price drop is due to this tariff crisis, which has gone from 10% to 41% But is it just this Quasi-Political problem ? Or is it Really due to the 2 Nuclear ships the US brought closer after Russia's statements?

I don't think the fall will be extensive the price is falling because that's how markets react to these things happening around the world But isn't it better to take advantage of the opportunity to buy Cheap?I know that tariffs also affect BTC, but let's say the fundamentals of BTC remain intact, for me this is useful for it to gain momentum and continue its bullish movement.

Here I like to decipher the technical reason:

Short-term holders drove Bitcoin price decline but market remains profitable

Quote
Over the past 24 hours, the flagship digital asset dropped by more than 3% to under $115,000, resulting in over $200 million in market liquidation.

Glassnode data reveals that recent sellers in this market condition were predominantly short-term holders.

Quote
Of the $21.34 billion in BTC that changed hands during the period, 85.5%—roughly $18.24 billion—was attributed to investors who acquired their coins within the last few months. In contrast, long-term holders accounted for only 14.5% ($3.10 billion) of the volume.

cryptoslate: https://cryptoslate.com/insights/short-term-holders-drove-bitcoin-price-decline-but-market-remains-profitable/

So, since it is being determined that the sales may have been Driven by new market participants and not by long-term and institutional investors , it can be Concluded that these were sales by weak hands.
