I heard some serious people on X saying there's a case for Bitcoin reaching $168k by the end of the year.

What's the rationale behind that?

I'm more worried these days about Saylor buying everything up before I get the chance. It is turning into real anxiety at this point.

There is a zero chance of this happening...besides, he said today that he wants "just" 5-7%  Grin

This is the chart that has everyone calling for $160K in two months. It has been pretty accurate and markets tend to be self fulfilling prophecies sometimes. I think that may be what we’re seeing here. I think the top of this chart will be a little late though. I’m still going with the S&P500 Strategy inclusion as being the top of this cycle and it will occur between the announcement on September 5th and the event on September 20th.

I expect we see support between here and ~111500

Hopefully that holds.

Muh profits….

Yeah.. Negative profits in recent times.

Sucks to be a bag holder, no?

Muh profits….

"easy" come, easy go.

This b-h always puts you through much ups and downs as to completely exhaust you.
No wonder that the ## of hodlers is getting smaller.
Not getting annoyed much...yet.

We have ONLY had two drawdowns of 30% plus since late 2022... The 30% plus draw downs used to be more common.

This time is different, but maybe not so much different for any of us longer-timers to be surprised.

Been through worse than this

Where is the old d_eddie?

You used to be a lot more irritable during these kinds of dippening periods.. especially 2019, 2020-ish.. Maybe you cheered up after that?

I heard some serious people on X saying there's a case for Bitcoin reaching $168k by the end of the year.

What's the rationale behind that?

That is not a serious question.

Where's your work?

Do you think that some variation of that is not going to happen by the end of this year?

Personally, I doubt that it is helpful to have a specific number, but sure, people love specific numbers.  I personally prefer ranges.

What about 2026?  is that an up down or sideways year?   You heard of bitcoin's 4-year cycle? Does that factor into your thinking, and if so where are we in such process?  If you think that $168k is unrealistic, then maybe you are thinking that the 4-year cycle is over or maybe that the BTC price tops out at some point lower than $168k?

With the passage of  4 years, surely my numbers from my December 2021 prediction need to be more bullish than they were in December 2021, no?

He is not greedy, then.  That is merely between 1 million to 1.5 million of the bitcoin.  It seems reachable, especially given his recent BTC accumulation tactics.
