Can we rename this thread to Wall Observers Metal/USD?  Cheesy

I was hoping that we were ONLY temporarily distracted into the shiny object realm and that at some point in the near future (aka soontm), we will return to our regularly scheduled programming.

One of the realities of markets is that they can sometimes persist in a state that seems quite irrational and crazy.. and so likely we have to bear (pun not intended) through those situations.  Hopefully, actual bitcoiners are not going to need to soon tell the shiny object worshipers to fuck off.

I guess one of the saving graces, perhaps to the one perpetuating this the most (Phillip) is that at least he is mostly talking about selling that crap (currently silver, previously copper), even though he is sometimes implying that there might have had been some correctness in his past decision-making process to have had gotten involved in that various crap in the first place.

Sometimes when I think of Wall street and it's inability to fully accept/grasp bitcoin i am reminded of a mental picture of a 2-3 year old stubborn boy who refused to eat when mom is giving him something yummy...closing the mouth, turning left and right in the feeding chair, throwing a tantrum.

Come on! It's delicious  Grin

I see a lot of speculation about any possible direction these days. Some say it has no relevance to Bitcoin, others say that Bitcoin is going to pump next and that there is always a delay like this. Pretty much every possible scenario is predicted by someone, but markets are quite weird this year. It will be an interesting 2026. I do expect a big crash of the stock market at the end of this decade or the start of the next one, something like 1920 but I don't know when exactly. Until then numbers should be going up a lot.

I think I have 1 oz gold and a couple oz of silver stashed somewhere, but I am not sure I know where I left it.  Grin  I would sell it at these prices otherwise. He held copper?  Cheesy

I don't hold any metals although I can't fault someone who has gold and silver right now, I wouldn't feel too safe about the silver especially if I had some though.

I started holding silver a decade before Bitcoin was created. You might call it a gateway investment for those searching for a store of value. I consider it another part of a diversified portfolio of holdings.

Every time I've done so ..since 2013 and HODL something else, or mine Altcoins (which being new to BTC and LTC being the first Altcoin I mined to LTC to BTC ASAP...not sure if it

was luck..or I just got dumber as more Altcoins showed up)

So NO.

With the exception of BCH (1/2 yet) on my merged main BTC wallet....have not bothered with moving

I'm out..just need to cash on misl altcoins  yet..the 'pennies' in comparison for some Altcoins yet..hardly worth the bother but still should dribble them out and into btc

So that is my refrain above...also that I did not get enough BTC in the past...and currently am not getting enough BTC now and dread the future of not getting enough btc then

when I look back and repeat the mantra above...should have gotten more BTC last year,5 years, etc etc refrain at every year change

so...just saying...

I also have a real good grasp of always selling whatever coin..btc or whatever at the low...it is a 'gift'..spooky in how it just always kept happening...

on the other hand probably that is why in the past I gave up and went full HODL..no skills in selling or trading btc/crypto at correct times..always wrong

anyway..the mantra is ...

don't have enough, not buying enough and how can I buy more btc in the future as time goes by

rinse/wash/repeat

HODL

Well made silver and copper sales close to 20,000 from sept to dec.

No more copper to speak of.

and I was not holding copper.

I found a close out bankruptcy sale for ETH cables cat 5e.

I purchased 38,000 cables that weigh 10,000 pounds.

Cost 2500 usd sold for scrape at 11,000 plus did some cable sales so maybe 12,000 for 2,500 (well more like 4500 cost due to storage and cartage to scrape yard.). still about 7-8k profit.

Merry Christmas!

I've been hospitalized for a gallstone attack (gallbladder), and it seems I'll have to have my gallbladder removed next year to avoid further problems.

Everything is fine.

Oh that sounds very painful. I can't even imagine it. Shocked
Another moment to remember years from now.

I wish you a speedy recovery and a merry christmas!

Another Christmas to celebrate with great friends I have met in this forum.

This is a season of love and a time to appreciate how much of a privilege we have to be alive and to know about bitcoin.

As we prepare to start another cycle of 365 days, may we walk with love, hope and in good health.

Merry Christmas WO.
