Tradition of decorating Christmas cookies with family and friends gathered from all over the the World. (This is just half of the group)
[im][edited out family picture][/img]

Oh gawd...    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Even if this were true or reflective of actual people you know, did you get their permission to post such picture?

JJG - Permission is not necessary. It was taken is a private home, and the photographer has full control over the content.

Even if it was taken in a public setting, streets of NYC, beaches, department stores, country clubs, race tracks, churches, family dinners, golf courses - you don't need permission, especially if no minors are in the image.

There's only a gazillion images of groups of people posted in all sorts of settings.

* But to make you happy I'll delete it!

You have a very strange view on privacy and rights that people have on their own picture - especially in a private environment, but NVM, it has already been archived forever (thanks to Loyce!)

@psycodad - I find it a bit strange that some people here want to even hide what country or U.S. state they live in. What I find even stranger still is how some people want to hide their identity and/or their location yet they willingly sell stuff on the bitcointalk 'Marketplace' or on eBay, revealing their exact name and address which is usually enough information to learn someone's main email address and their phone number if they care to dig around a little. I find the $5 wrench attack excuse funny.

A picture of a group of a dozen people isn't going to provide much in the way of one's identity, and I don't see any real harm even if it does reveal what someone looks like. It's pretty sad when someone feels the need to hide their general location or their looks from others.

There are people here worth millions maybe more like 200  million or more.

AND there are people that are worth a lot less.

I DONT bother hiding who I am as I sold and escrowed close to a million in gear and sales from 2012 to 2015.

THE WEBSITE needed some open people to help sell and push mining as it was  far bigger deal than many realize now.

I will never be able to become hidden with this identity so I do not bother to hide my self.

Now if btc was to go to 10,000,000 a coin I would leave the site and move from my home.

Becoming incognito.

But my coins are too low right now to worry about a 5 dollar wrench attack.

Put all your wallets in a trust off site out of your control..thus no wrench attack....I live on NON btc stuff..the btc stuff is like 'ranch land' to be passed down as virtual

currency....thus who cares.....gonna be annoyed beating me with a wrench...have no access to the stuff alone..ie..trust ..lawyers are handy for some such stuff

meh.....not my btc.....punting it down the road for friends and relatives when I pass....boring before bitcoin...boring getting bitcoin...boring after bitcoin

if I was 'exciting' I never would have kept any...so can't have it both ways and HODL all these years...so punted it to the trust Smiley I suppose I could 'lie' to gold diggers

showing them my public btc key...here on bitcointalk...yeah....that would work Smiley

Phil - Yeah, you'd be easy to ID because you have revealed a lot about yourself. Ten minutes is all it would take to know your full name, home address and phone number. It's good that you don't bother to hide. There's no need to...who would you hide from!

I know people with a net worth far exceeding $200mm, a couple are billionaires and they don't hide... They are elite business people involved in real estate, oil and gas and law.

@psycodad - I find it a bit strange that some people here want to even hide what country or U.S. state they live in.

If you already know the culture around here, then why you trying to fuck with it?

What I find even stranger still is how some people want to hide their identity and/or their location yet they willingly sell stuff on the bitcointalk 'Marketplace' or on eBay, revealing their exact name and address which is usually enough information to learn someone's main email address and their phone number if they care to dig around a little. I find the $5 wrench attack excuse funny.

Just because some folks choose to be open does not mean that others do, and it is probably not even a good practice to be highlighting any weaknesses that you perceive in the OPSec of forum members.. except you want to defend your own post in which you were being loosey goosey with people who supposedly are acquaintances of yours... or whatever it was that you were wanting to show.

You want us to be loosey goosey with our identifications and also you want us to buy paper bitcoin? namely spot ETFs with a special personal recommendation of Fidelity?

You keep pushing, and are you even trying to act like you fit in these here parts, or are you just a pure attack vector?  Maybe you are a PsyOp?  You could at least try to fit in a bit better, no?

I would imagine that there are PsyOps with differing missions.

A picture of a group of a dozen people isn't going to provide much in the way of one's identity,

It is a bad example to set for others, and yeah, there are some other dumb fucks like you too, and some members end up getting banned and/or suspended because they ended up playing too loosey goosey with the OpSec of other persons. You are stacking up your various violations, so maybe at some point it will be realized that you cost more to keep as a forum member than you benefit anyone in these here parts, even if we might realize that you are phoney baloney.

and I don't see any real harm even if it does reveal what someone looks like.

Yeah, and you want to argue about it too.

It's pretty sad when someone feels the need to hide their general location or their looks from others.

This is not facebook.

Maybe you should go to facebook and post your bitcoin spot ETF related ideas there?

Now you want to make a mockery of guys employing OPsec measures?

I doubt that you are making friends with that kind of an approach in which you are arguing against the employment of OPsec in these here parts.  Guys should be more than willing to red tag and/or to negative trust you for those kinds of behaviors.

Sure you have been public for quite a while and for reasons, and $5 wrench attack is not the only reason that guys choose to preserve their OpSec.

Furthermore, making a mockery out of the  OPsec choices of other guys is problematic behavior..and it seems a bit screwed up that BTCETFInvestor is arguing that point in this thread or even in the forum, unless maybe there was a thread on that topic.

There seems to be no reason to be arguing that guys loosen their chosen OPsec, and there are guys who fucked up in the past in regards to their OPsec, so they had to make changes to their profile and their posting style..

Don't be trying to lecture us about supposedly rich folks that you know who don't own bitcoin, especially since you don't own any bitcoin yourself, and you seem to want to promote your own loosey goosey OpSec ideas and/or practices to the extent that you are even who you claim to be since, we already have gone down the road with your having had already provided a bunch of fake shit and also your using AI to draft your posts. You are not exactly any kind of role model that we should aspire to, including your recently ongoing attempts to get guys to disclose mostly irrelevant side-stories about personal information.

Well how much can btc be this year according to your last observation. Only 3 days left.

You are referring  to the closing price for the year? or something else?

Perhaps somewhere between $83k and $95k - give or take $3k?

Good morning ETF/philipma Observer!

The thesis is that there are only two possibilities:
1. All previously designed top indicators (my comment-except the number of days passed post halving) are faulty.
2. This was not the top.

Well, how about taking the S-curve hypothesis into consideration?
If Bitcoin were to follow such trajectory, how would it play out? A couple of cycles of weak performance and then lift-off?

Alternatively, we are switching to a more stock-market-like cycles with unpredictable ebbs and flows.

That too!
